CREPE PAPER FLOWERS AND KRAFT CARD

Hi, thank you for stopping by....

I created a top folding, 5"x7" white card base using the Matting Basics B Die Set

The other day I came across the white lattice background (now sorting my storage boxes in my craft room) and I'm not 100% sure but I think it's from the 'shadow box' die set by Sue Wilson.  It's this particular piece that inspired the card

I adhered it to a panel of kraft card then added white satin ribbon around the centre

The sentiment, was stamped onto white card, using an Adirondack Ink Pad in 'caramel',  and die cut, a second die cut was made, with the kraft card, as I wanted to create a shadow

I folded over the white crepe paper 4 times and die cut the flowers and added a coloured brad to the centres.  I scrunched the flowers and tweaked the petals which gave a lovely 'fluffy' peony affect

I also die cut the leaves, from the same flower die set, and two swirls from kraft card and coloured around the edges of the leaves.  I left the swirls in the die to add the same colour to them

To complete the sentiment, flowers, leaves and swirls were then adhered to the card
INGREDIENTS:

  • White card ~ Papermill Direct
  • Matting Basics B Die Set ~ Spellbinders
  • Lattice frame ~ Shadow Box/CE
  • Kraft card ~ CE
  • White satin ribbon ~ Club Green
  • Rose Creations Die Set ~ Spellbinders
  • Twisted Metal Tags and Accents Die Set ~ Spellbinders
  • Sentiment ~ CE
  • Adirondack Ink Pad ~ Ranger
  • White crepe paper ~ The Range

WORKING CANDY MACHINE

Hi, thanks for stopping by....

One of my great-nephews celebrates his 12th birthday today and I made him this candy machine card

I used all the elements from the Working Candy Machine Die Set

In retrospect I think I should have highlighted the sentiment with a shadow of navy, but it is prominent in 'the flesh'

I boobed with the photography when the candy was inside and showing the back of the card too.... wobbly hands and hubby had already gone to post the item so I couldn't retake any photos

I've reduced it in size just so that you can see it filled, don't look at it too long otherwise you'll see double! LOL

Filled with candy
Birthday boy will only see the sentiment, behind the treat cup, when the candy is half full

All I did for the back was to stamp the large 'Happy Birthday' with rainbow colours and I wrote a personal message in the body of the card

INGREDIENTS:
  • Working Candy Machine Die Set, Foam Core, Treat Cup, Handle, Sentiments ~ CE
  • Patterned paper ~ my stash from a magazine
  • Dries Clear Glue ~ CE
  • Happy Birthday, Hydrangea, Mountain Meadow, Spice, Big & Juicy 5 Colour Rainbow Ink Pads ~ Ranger
  • Large 'Happy Birthday' stamp ~ CE
Until tomorrow....

FANTASY FILM BUTTERFLY AND CARD WINNER

Hi, thanks for stopping by....

Starting the week with another easy card where you could change the colour combo and  batch make

The base is 5"x7" with a smaller panel of lilac card then the top panel is white

I stamped a butterfly to the top left and the sentiment bottom right.
A second butterfly was stamped, coloured with ProMarkers 'lilac' and fussy cut and coated with a clear Wink Of Stella
With my craft iron on a medium heat, I placed my inked butterfly stamp on a board then added 3 pieces of Fantasy Film on top of it and finally a piece of non-stick craft mat, I then placed the iron on top for a few minutes.  Once the film had fused I fussy cut the image out, placed glue on the back of the spine and adhered it to the butterfly

I added dots of various sizes and colour depth

You can see the 3 different butterfly layers

The card can also be posted flat and I'm sure when the recipient opens the envelope the butterfly wings will pop up again

INGREDIENTS:
  • White card base ~ CraftUK
  • Lilac and white card ~ my stash
  • Butterfly stamp ~ Chloe
  • Sentiment ~ CE

BOKEH BACKGROUND

Hello, thanks for stopping by....

I have used Pixie Powders for my coloured background, the norm is to use paints, but I do like how it has turned out

The base card is 5"x7"

After adding PPs to the very wet, watercolour card I left it to dry.  I made my own stencil using different sizes of circular dies, then added the white distress ink as shown above, with a blending tool and also with a small finger dauber

INGREDIENTS:
  • White base card ~ CraftUK
  • Copper and purple card ~ my stash
  • Watercolour card ~ Crafter's Companion
  • Candy Pink, Rich Gold, Sun Yellow Pixie Powders ~ CE
  • Picket Fence Distress Ink ~ Ranger
  • Sentiment ~ CE
  • 'Hydrangea' Ink pad for sentiment ~ Big and Juicy/Ranger
Until tomorrow....
