BLAST FROM THE PAST & WEDNESDAY'S CARD WINNER

Hi, thank you for stopping by....

I've been sorting through my photos, came across this card and can't remember if I ever posted it on my original blog, my apologies if I have.  It was made for a friend's 'special' birthday, I also made the box that the card is sitting in

I used a 12"x12" pretty pinkish/reddish paper for the first mat onto the base card and also for the die cut and the two flowers

There wasn't any contest for this week's card winner as the only comment came from Littlelamb, so congratulations Littlelamb,
yours and the past two week's winners' cards will be posted Monday and by then I should be back on track

                                                                      Until tomorrow....

JANUARY'S CHALLENGE FOR 'A PERFECT TIME TO CRAFT' - It's So Spring It Wet My Plants'

Hi, thank you for stopping by....

The sponsor for January's challenge is Ericraft Shop, who has the most gorgeous digi stamps.  I chose this one because I thought it looked so cute plus I simply love the sentiment!

The image can be found HERE and Ericraft Facebook HERE

Once I coloured the image I fussy cut the flowers and the little guy, created the stepper card and added the pretty papers as a background/backdrop

To complete I added, the clear Nuvo Crystal Drops on and off the umbrella and (did that surprise you? LOL)

Wednesday's comment winner will be announced tomorrow,

until then....

NEW CHALLENGE AT MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES - #62 FLOWERS

Hi, thanks for stopping by....

It's a new challenge today for Team B at MAWTT, the lovely Beckie is hosting this and she wants to see flowers.  My contribution is below, but please take a visit to see the gorgeous designs from the rest of the team, you'll find brilliant designs and inspiration from the girlies
#62 FLOWERS
Once all the colouring had been done I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew to give the impression of the flowers still being wet after just being picked from the garden

I chose a yellow and midnight blue theme cardstock and my base card is 5"x7" top folding.  I embossed a piece of the blue card and adhered it to the base card

I then used 2 sizes of the stitched flags dies and added mounting foam to the back for dimension

The floral image is a digi stamp, coloured in with aqua pencils then fussy cut and adhered to the card

The sentiment is part of the gift from the latest issue of Die Cutting Essentials, I've not yet used the dies with this issue!

Once the card was assembled I added the Nuvo Crystal Drops to the floral image
You can clearly see the 'crystal drops' on this image

WEDNESDAY FREEBIE - HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hi, thank you for stopping by....

Today's freebie card is a 5"x7' portrait style

I've used teal and white cardstock and a lot of the elements from the 'Complete Card & Box Die Set', the sentiment, flowers, leaves, swirls as well as die cutting the teal card with the 5"x7" die and using the smaller die for the white card panel

The embossed triangular card is an e/f called 'Encaustic' and it creates a beautiful, detailed design

I used 3 small aqua dazzlers for the flower centres

The white lace also adds a pretty element to the card

I die cut the sentiment 4 times and glued them together to give dimension
