Morning blog friends....

I've used more elements from Heartfelt Creations's Arianna Blooms 12"x12" paper pad and, with only the addition of 3 drops of NUVO Crystal Drops in 'Bubblegum Blush'!

I stamped the Happy Birthday on the inside of the card.  I love the font on this stamp, it's from an old stamp set by Creative Expressions

If you would like to give this card a new home then please leave me a message on this post.  You have until 6pm Friday to do so and the winner will be announced on Saturday's blog

Until tomorrow....

Morning blog friends....

I'm sure
you will remember this card, without the cluster of flowers, from a previous post and video?  I had one 'base card' left over from the several I made for the video and rather than put it in another 'card to finish' folder I thought I would dress the front and that would be another card completed

And such an easy way to to dress the card as the only item I made was the one larger leaf and that was in my small container that I keep on my work table!

The small cluster of white flowers are by Ranger.  I use these mostly in the making of mini albums and you can easily add colour to them if you wish

The two frosted balls are from Swedish House Crafts and the peach flower is by Wild Orchid Crafts

I added a good dollop of 3D glue, by Crafter's Companion, onto the card, gently opened the white cluster of flowers and placed them in the glue, the frosted balls were next, then the rose and, finally, the single leaf

Ideally I would have liked a scripted die saying 'Love' which I would have added but unfortunately I actually don't have one, so I am now on the look-out for one of these

Until tomorrow....

Good Sunday morning....

I think today's card is a good one for the males

My magazine was only delivered yesterday so I thought I would do a make using a few of the stamps.  This time the stamps are by Sheena Douglass, so you know they are a good quality stamp to use

I used an ivory 7" card and for all the stamping and colouring I used Distress Oxides

I started by stamping the image onto white card (from my left over pieces) and fussy cut it to use as a mask.  I then stamped the image onto the ivory card, covered it with the mask and used my ink dusters and distress inks to create the two tone background

I used fossilized amber and vintage photo to colour the bird and a Paper Mate pencil

Tonic's square die set was used to make a border.  I made two die cuts and glued them together

I used the centres of the dies to adhere to the inside of the card

I stamped off the page with the tree and used the same 'happy birthday' sentiment, as on the card front, for the inside

I used a nearly dry flat brush to create a lighter background on the sentiment by very gently brushing over it as soon as I'd stamped it

To complete I stamped for of the tree set onto the envelope

I will be showing more cards made with these stamps as soon as possible

  • Creative Stamping Magazine Issue 62
  • Distress Oxide Inks/ fossilized amber, iced spruc, vintage photo and wild honey - Ranger
  • Square Die Set - Tonic

Hello blog friends....

I was given short notice when asked to make a card for a little boy's birthday, (I really don't mind when this happens, and this lady is a good customer of mine and has also become a good friend)

I had made a start in sorting my stamp collection, to a more 'user friendly system', and came across this set (make unknown), shown on the card, the day before!

I used a 7" square white card base and scored the front at 3.5" to fold back

The figures were stamped then the numbers in various colours, using Distress Oxide Inks

I then coloured the images using watercolour pencils (Derwent Pencils and Crafter's Companion) and once completed went over them with paper stumps to blend them

I used Tonic's square die set (used the smallest die in the set) to die cut 3 squares, then cut them in half, diagonally, to make a flag for the bunting

The same coloured distress inks were used to colour each flag and I stamped the letters using an onyx black ink pad. I added a thin line of glue to the top of the card and added blue and white jute so that the bunting looked as if it was attached to it.  Very small pieces of double sided mounting foam were added to the backs of the flags and adhered slightly below the jute.  The sentiment above the bunting fitted perfectly in the space above

I downloaded the verse, the cute bear was also included with it.  I printed it onto blue cardstock and die cut it using one of the oval dies from Creative Expressions

Hello everyone

I am going for the red and white traditional Christmas colour today and I do really like this      but also like to use other 'non traditional' colours too

The card is only 4"x5", it lies flat so ideal for posting and so quick to make.  You can change the colour theme easily too

I cut a slightly smaller white panel and die cut one side using the 'Frostyville Border' by Memory Box (No 98146)

The die cut was sprayed with an adhesive spray then glitter jewels Creative Expressions, sprinkled over it

I attached a red satin ribbon, as shown then added to small baubles that were die cut from red glitter card.  I added 3 red gems below these and one each at the top of the die cuts

The sentiment (magazine freebie) was stamped using Archival Ink in crimson (Ranger), both on the outside and inside of the card

I'm sure the above stamp set is by Crafter's Companion.  Leave me a comment about today's card and, as always, you have until 6pm Saturday to do so, the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

Until later....

Good morning....

As the title states the new challenge starts today for MAWTT.  The lovely and very talented Jenny L is our host and we are also being sponsored by 'Crafty Ribbons', so Jenny would like to see a ribbon or ribbons on your card design

Crafty Ribbons will give the winner a ribbon bundle if they are in the UK, otherwise a non UK resident will receive a voucher to use in their store excluding postage

There are some gorgeous designs from my teamies so please take a gander and have a look.  Here is the link:

I have used a 6" square ivory card base and, with a smaller panel of ivory card, I die cut the two circles then embossed the panel

I used 2 colours of NUVO Drops to add detail around the circles

I used a selection of red ribbons that were adhered into place on the base card.  Mounting foam was applied to the back of the top panel and placed in position on the base card

I used a smaller circular die on another piece of ivory card then stamped a sentiment using a red ink pad.   A heart was added to the centre of this

Several card panels were added on the inside and a verse added

  • circle die set - Creative Expressions
  • 'Tulip' embossing folder - CE
  • ribbons - Poppyfield Card Crafts
  • verse - CE
Until tomorrow....,

Leave me a comment if you would like your name entered into the draw

You have until 6pm Friday to do this and the winner will be announced on Saturday's blog

Tomorrow's post will be published at 9am to correspond with the new DT Challenge for Team B at MAWTT

Good morning everyone....

I've used quite a few elements from various sources in my stash in making today's card

This is an 8" square white, scalloped edge card base and I scored the front of it at 4" so it would fold back on itself

On the inside page I used one paper from the 'It's A Girl!', an 8"x8" paper pad.  This particular sheet is also textured

On white card I stamped and embossed the verse and die cut it

I used the same designer paper, as on the front of the card, to make the green rose and leaves.  I added extra colour to the leaves whilst they were still in the die

The green designer paper is by Teresa Collins and was cut to  size for the front of the card

The oval white card was die cut and I used a very pale pink card (that just happened to be in my tray on my work table!) to die cut the Gerbera.  I added more colour to it using a blending tool that already had a darker pink ink on it

The stem and leaves were die cut from the same green paper and the same coloured distress ink added as on the rose leaves

The sentiment was also stamped and embossed then die cut

  • It's A Girl Paper Pad/Cavania FEPAD079 - The Range
  • verse and sentiment/Timeless Sentiments - Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3509
  • white die cut - unknown
  • rose/Bitty Blossoms Die Set - Spellbinders
  • Teresa Collins Designer Paper Pad - Creative Expressions
  • oval die cut - Spellbinders
  • gerbera flower die - Elizabeth Craft Designs
  • lucky clover Distress Oxide Ink - Ranger

Morning everyone....

We have Tattered Lace and Tonic coming together on today's card

I love this shade of blue and it's from the 6"x 6" paper pad I showed you yesterday as part of Tonic's Craft Kit 13

The die set on the card front is by Tattered Lace (details shown below)

I removed part of the card front to create an 'off-set' fold

The two border dies are part of the TL set and the centre die is, again, from Tonic's Craft Kit 13

Also from the kit was the NUVO Mica Mist in 'Nebula Blue' which I used to lightly spray the envelope

The above die set is from a set of 4 by TL.  It actually belongs to a friend of mine and she's loaned me the full set to see what I can make with the dies

Morning all....

Another colour combo I really love is black and gold, I think it looks so decadent

This is a 5"x7" black card base and I used a gold paint pen to create the splatters

The 'leaping deer' was die cut 4 times on gold card, 3 die cuts were adhered together and the fourth had its head, part of its body and a little of its bum removed as I wanted to show the leaping deer with 4 legs as the die only gives it 2

The sentiment was stamped and embossed

I die cut 2 ovals in the same gold card and 2 smaller ovals in black card

The sentiment was also stamped and embossed using the same powder that is on the card front

As this week's stamp is only small I've also added the toppers to the give-away

Leave a comment by 6pm Saturday if you wish your name to be added to the draw and the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog post

  • leaping deer - Memory Box No 98390
  • both sentiments - unknown
  • light gold pearl embossing powder - WOW
  • oval dies - Creative Expressions

Unboxing Tonic Craft Kit 13

Morning all....

For today's post I'm showing all the goodies in this month's Tonic Craft Kit.  In my opinion this is one of the best, if not the best kit on the UK market!

Back tomorrow with Festive Friday 33!

Morning all....

One of my favourite colour combos today, aqua and white

This is a 7" white card base with a matt of aqua card then the top panel of white card

I've used 2 dies from Tattered Lace to die cut the aqua card.  The largest die was die cut a further twice then every other strip was cut and adhered to the original panel

A stamped sentiment was applied using a 'black onyx' ink pad

The dies used are part of a 'Cut, Craft, Create Set 1 by Tattered Lace, I've used the 'pleated panel' and 'ornate baroque corner'

The packaging is without a code

I used the two spare smallest die cuts to add on the inside of the card

All the names from today's post will be entered into the draw, it closes at 6pm Friday, and the winner will be announced on Saturday's blog

Until tomorrow....

Morning all....

Faux leather technique today.  The one showing below is on the video and you may remember the second one I made for the 'texture' challenge at MAWTT

The latest one is half the size of the original one and is so cute in the 'flesh'

If you have any questions please leave them either in the comments section or email me and I will reply
