FESTIVE FRIDAY 6 - LET ME EXPLAIN!

Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'....

The idea behind this card was to create plant pot with a poinsettia in it and have it sitting on a window ledge/table, which is why I used this particular 'planter'

I die cut numerous layers of poinsettias, shaped them and glued them together.  I then cut the 'arrangement' in half so that it would sit right on the card and in the 'planter on the window ledge' LOL

I used the outer cutting die from the classic vase set and die cut it from an A4 background sheet I made quite sometime ago

I didn't have a large leaf die suitable so, using the same outer cutting die I die cut several 'leaves' on green card, and cut off the top part to give me a pointed leaf.  I also scored several lines onto the leaves

A blob of 3D glue in the centre to hold the stamens was also added

The outer cutting die for the planter and leaves

I used pink and black PVA glue to create this very textured background, you need to leave it overnight to completely dry
I then decided to colour the planter in red, it still shows a little of the black and little specks of the pink PVA glue but I think it looks better red

The 'freebie stamps' are small stamps which is why I'm giving both away this week

The winner will be announced on Sunday's post
