NEW CHALLENGE AT MAWTT

Morning all....

Today is the start of a new challenge at MAWTT, I'm the host for this fortnight's challenge and my chosen theme is FANTASY

This is my contribution....

I applied Ranger's Glossy Accents to the mermaid's body

I also applied 'Wink Of Stella' to the hair

I hope you can see a little of the 'Glossy Accents' I've added on the the body of the mermaid.  It's actually changed the colour of her altogether!  You will see on the last photo what she looked like before apply the glossy accents

I applied a very thick layer and it's so gorgeous to touch

This is the original colour of the mermaid before I applied 'glossy accents'

I used a digi stamp, by Sheepski Designs,  for the image, and printed it onto pure white watercolour card by Ranger

I masked the image using liquid masking film by Talens, I applied this with a brush then created the multicoloured sea using several distress oxide inks by Ranger: broken china, cracked pistachio, faded jeans, spiced marmalade, worn lipstick and wilted violet.  I also added a little black soot distress ink (not oxide) to the bottom of the card

Once all the card was coloured I spritzed water over it using my Tim Holtz's Distress Sprayer, blotted the excess then gave it a quick blast of heat

I removed the masking film and coloured the mermaid using Spectrum Aqua Pens by Crafter's Companion:  blossom and crimson (hair), purple (body) and peach (skin)

A ProMarker in black was applied around the edges of the card then it was adhered to white card

When you have a few minutes please take a stroll to MAWTT and see what the rest of 'Team B' have created for this challenge.  It would be good to see one of your creations there too

#70 FANTASY

Until tomorrow....

  6. Lovely card. Could have done with this digi stamp last week as it was my granddaughter’s friend’s birthday and she loves mermaids. Thank you for sharing this.
