A LITTLE SHABBY CHIC & CARD WINNER

Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'....

This is a 7" square white card base with a smaller panel of black cardstock then a smaller panel of the designer paper

I distressed all four edges and made a few tears into the paper.  Before I adhered it to the black card I added a little 'tea dye' distress ink around all the borders

Once adhered to the black cardstock I used a die, off centre as shown, then adhered this to the base card

I paper pieced the small black triangular pieces in place as well as adhering the black circular piece back into the centre

White lace was glued into place on the two larger tears

The flowers and leaves are die cut in kraft card and I used 2 different distress inks on the edges but added more colour on the leaves.  I also sprayed the floral arrangement with 'spray & sparkle' in silver

The sentiment was attached at a 'jaunty' angle and a smaller flower glued to one end

I added mats and layers of the same card and paper to the inside of the card

Then die cut 2 white ovals and adhered them as shown

I will add a verse when I know who I'll be sending the card to.  The top white panel is ideal to add a personal message if needed

FESTIVE FRIDAY 6 - LET ME EXPLAIN!

Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'....

The idea behind this card was to create plant pot with a poinsettia in it and have it sitting on a window ledge/table, which is why I used this particular 'planter'

I die cut numerous layers of poinsettias, shaped them and glued them together.  I then cut the 'arrangement' in half so that it would sit right on the card and in the 'planter on the window ledge' LOL

I used the outer cutting die from the classic vase set and die cut it from an A4 background sheet I made quite sometime ago

I didn't have a large leaf die suitable so, using the same outer cutting die I die cut several 'leaves' on green card, and cut off the top part to give me a pointed leaf.  I also scored several lines onto the leaves

A blob of 3D glue in the centre to hold the stamens was also added

The outer cutting die for the planter and leaves

I used pink and black PVA glue to create this very textured background, you need to leave it overnight to completely dry
I then decided to colour the planter in red, it still shows a little of the black and little specks of the pink PVA glue but I think it looks better red

The 'freebie stamps' are small stamps which is why I'm giving both away this week

The winner will be announced on Sunday's post

INGREDIENTS:
  • poinsettia die set ~ Tonic
  • classic vase die set ~ Creative Expressions (CE)
  • 3D glue ~ Crafter's Companion
  • stamens ~ Poppyfield Card Crafts
  • pastel rose and cosmic black PVA glue ~ CE

Z-FOLD NEW BABY CARD

Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'....

A cute baby card that folds to an approximate 6" square, ideal for posting!

Papers used are from the 'Hey Baby' 12"x12" paper pad

I typed the 'congratulations'.... on white cardstock, trimed it to fit the page and die cut above and below the wording

A 'belly band' was adhered across the left side of the page and a tag placed behind it

I found the sentiment on the internet, changed a few words when I typed it, then adhered it to the card

INGREDIENTS:
  • A4 base card ~ Crafter's Companion
  • papers ~ Hey Baby Paper Pad/sparky & marie
  • Delicate Adornment Die ~ Creative Expressions

TONE ON TONE - HIGH HEEL GLAM

Hi and welcome to my 'happy place'....

The embossed panel is a metallic peachy pink and I embossed it and rounded the corners

I used an 'over the edge' die for the filigree pattern on the side then added some of the above metallic card behind it and glued it into place

An oval panel was die cut and inked around the edge, mounting foam added to the back and adhered to the card

I typed the sentiment, die cut it and die cut another stitached flag, slightly larger, on the same coloured cardstock.  Mounting foam again was added to the back then adhered to the card

You can see the shades of pink better on this one

INGREDIENTS:
  • 5"x7" card ~ CraftUK
  • metallic card ~ my stash
  • corner punch ~ ?Woodware
  • Cascading Hearts Embossing Folder ~ CE
  • Stitched Flags ~ CE
