ACROSS THE MILES & CARD WINNER

Good 1st September morning all....

I've used stamps from the free gift in this month's 'Creative Stamping Magazine' Issue 61, and  I really liked one of the examples shown on the back of the A4 stamps that I 'kind of' copied it! lol

It's a 6" square white card base and I used 3 of the stamps in the set.  The pine cones are a separate stamp, there is a larger pine cone stamp included too

I used Distress Oxides in 'peeled paint' for the branches and vintage photo for the cones and sentiment.  I also used a brown ProMarker to dot in several places, purely because I caught something on the stamp and couldn't get the mark off the card without causing damage!

Isn't this good for the male population?

The envelope was also stamped the same way as the card

BEST WISHES

Morning all....

A little water colouring for today's card

I used a piece of watercolour card and stamped the corner image and leaves image with an onyx black ink pad.  The sentiment was stamped using a distress oxide ink pad

A selection of distress oxide inks were used to colour both images, then the card was adhered to black cardstock

I resisted in doing any splatters or using NUVO Drops!!

The verse and the single flower from the stamp set was stamped, again, using a distress oxide ink pad

I rounded the corners of the white card and adhered to the inside of the card

INGREDIENTS:
  • watercolour card ~ Crafter's Companion
  • Rose Corner Stamp Set ~ Woodware
  • VersaMark Clear Stamp Pad ~ Tsukineko
  • Onyx Black  Versafine Ink Pad ~ Tsukineko
  • Crimson  Archival Ink Pad (verse and flower head) ~ Ranger
  • abandoned coral/canded peel/iced spruce/lucky clover/peeled paint/worn lipstick ~ Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger

WEDNESDAY WEEKLY CARD GIVE-AWAY

Morning all....

A rather colourful card for this week's 'freebie'

This is a 7" card  and I scored and cut a 'Z' fold on the front of it

A strip of pretty designer paper was adhered to the right hand side and I used a Distress Oxide in 'seedless preserve' to stamp the image.  I chose that as it goes well with the colour of the flowers on the paper design

The sentiment, by Creative Expressions, was stamped and heat embossed

I used the Fmm air drying clay to make the flowers and cut several in various shapes and sizes.  These were left overnight to dry thoroughly then I coloured them using several colours in the distress oxide range

I added several colours of Tonic's NUVO Drops to the flower centres and a few on the inside of the 'Z' fold

The package that the card will be in will also include a box for when the winner sends/passes it onto their recipient

You may be pleased to know that the card is not heavy at all because of using the clay to make the flowers

As usual you have until 6pm Friday to comment on this card should you like your name added to the draw

The winner will be notified on Saturday's blog

We ship internationally at our expense too

Until tomorrow....

TUESDAY TUTORIAL - Abstract Background Using PVA Glues

Morning all....

In this short video I'm showing how to create an abstract background using PVA glues

Depending on your colour choices they make excellent backgrounds for male cards and I'm sure the younger generation would also like them

THANK YOU

Morning all....

I stamped the sentiment onto a 6" square white card base, using Versafine Onyx Black then heat embossing it with a clear embossing powder.  This gives a gorgeous gloss look and makes the lettering stand proud of the card

I stamped and heat embossed the butterfly using the Versafine clear ink pad again and covering it with a white embossing powder

Using a Spectrum aqua pen in 'peacock blue' I coloured the butterfly and repeated this action onto the corner of the envelope

I die cut a frame 4 times, adhered the layers together and glued the frame onto the card

I've not added anything to the inside of the card as I'm sending this to my dear uncle, who has been so generous to my hubby and I lately, and I will write a personal message on the inside of the card

INGREDIENTS:
  • sentiment stamp - Woodware  FRS190 Scripted Thank You
  • clear embossing powder - WOW
  • butterfly - Spellbinders
  • white embossing powder - Hero Arts
  • Spectrum Aqua Pens - Crafter's Companion
  • squares die set - Tonic
  • platinum machine - Spellbinders
Until tomorrow....

THINKING OF YOU

Good Sunday morning ladies....

The pretty paper is from an 8"x8" paper pad that I've had for quite sometime and I've added it to a slightly larger panel of black card then another slightly larger green panel

Once adhered the organza and satin ribbon, with double tails, was added to the side of the card and a clear dazzler glued onto the centre of the ribbon

I used a set of flowers by 49 and Market and adhered them to the card

Two small tags were die cut and a sentiment stamped onto the ivory card.  These were adhered in place and a mini clear dazzler hot glued at the top of the tags

I added a panel of the green and black card, used a corner punch on all the corners, then, for the centre piece/verse I die cut the oval frame, it is the same colour of the base card but looks a little white on the photograph

INGREDIENTS:

  • pretty paper - unknown
  • ribbon - PCC
  • dazzlers - Creative Expressions
  • flowers - 49 and Market
  • tags - Tonic
  • corner punch - Woodware
  • oval frame - Card Making Magic, available from CraftStash
