Unboxing Tonic Craft Kit 14, Latest Craft Goodies & Card Winner!

Good morning blog friends

I don't do 'twee' cards unless I'm asked to and Tonic's Craft Kit 14 happens to be, for this month, a 'Pet Window Frame' theme

There are plenty of other goodies in the box and I have made one card for today and there is another one in progress

As you see my cat has 4 legs (only right lol) and whiskers, I hope you can see the wee bird's beak and eye inside the bird house

I will be adding the paw prints to the outside of the envelope too

I hope you enjoy the video....

FESTIVE FRIDAY 37

Good morning crafty blog friends....

Today's card is a prime example of letting the paper(s) do the work, plus it can be easily changed to a birthday card if need be

The paper is from the 'Winter Wonderland' Collection, a 6"x 6" single sided paper pad by Crafter's Companion (I think it was a few weeks ago when I made another Christmas card from this paper pad)

All I have added is the white embossed Christmas tree and the sentiment, also stamped and embossed.  I added the pearls to the tree and to a few of the flowers

Now, remove the tree and that particular sentiment and you can have a gorgeous 'winter' birthday card for someone

The verse comes from one of the recent magazine A4 stamp sets and I used an Adirondack ink pad in 'denim' to stamp it

I used the same ink pad to stamp the flower on the corner of the envelope

This week's freebie stamp '

If you would like your name added to the draw for the above stamp please leave a comment on this post.  You have until 6pm Saturday to do so and the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

We also ship internationally at our expense

Until tomorrow....

FOR YOU

Good morning crafty friends....

It's another 'Creative Expressions' offering today.  I've used the same die set for the focal point, as I used on yesterday's card, 'Delicate Adornment Die Set', the embossing folder is an A4 size, 'Art Deco Fanfare', it has such gorgeous detail, and, the 3 stamps are from the 'Amazing Sentiments' stamp set

I didn't use the outer cutting die for two sides but, as you can see, I did for the other two sides

I also used both sets of the circle dies for both the centre of the card and inside the card

The gorgeous colour card is pearlised and I can't remember if it is Creative Expressions, Crafter's Companion or something else!  I do love this particular colour

So using a different coloured cardstock and rearranging the die cuts can give you a totally different look to your card

I thought I would let you know the following and give you first refusal before I advertise elsewhere....

I have 2  left of the A4 Art Deco Fanfare Embossing Folder, they are still in the original package and retail at £9.99 and £10.99, depends where you shop.  I have these for £6 each and that includes p&p

Until tomorrow's Festive Friday, have you started on your cards yet?  Or have you finished them all?

WEEKLY WEDNESDAY CARD GIVE-AWAY

Good morning crafty friends....

How these weeks fly by!

I'd like to say hello, welcome and thank you to Jackie and Liz for hitting the follow button and another thank you to my blog friend and teamie from MAWTT,  Jenny, for the mention on her blog which is:
https://www.cardsareus.blogspot.co. uk

This is an A5 size card and the base is a hammered textured  'creamy pale lemon'

I added a smaller panel of 'antique copper' card (Creative Expressions) then another smaller panel of the 'creamy pale lemon' - I think this is by Papermill Direct

I die cut and embossed 4 pieces of the antique copper card using the 'Delicate Adornment Die' (CE) and adhered them, two in and two out, onto the centre of the card

I used the centre die from the Heraldic Square Die Set (CE) and die cut and embossed it using both coloured cards

I overlapped the top one slightly to give a shadow then adhered it onto the card

The sentiment, another one from CE, was stamped and embossed in Metallic Copper by WOW, then cut and added onto the darker card prior to gluing it in situ

I added one pearl to the centre design using NUVO Crystal Drops in 'Antique Rose'

If you don't have, or not seen this particular colour of crystal drops there isn't anything 'rosey' or pinkish, as the name implies, about this colour.  In fact it is an excellent shade to compliment the antique copper cardstock

For the inside of the card I used the pierced circle die set (CE) to die cut and emboss two circles in antique copper and two smaller ones in a slightly lighter cardstock.  This looks extremely light on the photo but I can assure you it isn't in the flesh

If you would like to give this card a new home please leave me a message on today's blog.  You have until 6pm Friday to do so and the winner, chosen by Random Name Picker, will be announced on Saturday's blog post

We also ship internationally at our expense

Until tomorrow....

TUESDAY TUTORIAL - A TECHNIQUE TO USE YOUR 12"X12" PAPER PADS

Good morning blog friends....

If you're like me you may have quite a few 12"x 12" papers that you bought many moons ago and now wonder what you could do with them or better still.... why did you buy them in the first place

This technique uses 4 sheets of said papers but in the video I do explain how to us more

I hope you enjoy it and give it a try

Until tomorrow....

MAN MONDAY - THE DOOR OF MY HEART

Good morning blog friends....

I thought for today I would show you another way of designing a card using only one of the stamps from yesterday's '6 Cards In 60 Minutes' video (again, apologies for the blur at the end of the video!)

This card measures 6"x4", the same as yesterday's bundle of cards

I stamped and embossed the leaf numerous times across the card.  I used a  Versafine Clear Embossing Ink Pad and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder

Colour was then added using distress oxide inks in; fossilized amber, spiced marmalade and vintage photo.  When the card was fully coloured I used a piece of paper towel to buff the stamped images

I stamped the sentiment, apologies here as this is another 'unknown make', (it is a set of rubber stamps) using StazOn in black, onto white card, die cut it and added the same inks as on the card

The frame was die cut 3 times and I used left over card from my box of mixed brown card stock for this.  The cut out pieces were used on the inside of the card

I used 2 dies from Spellbinders's A2 Matting Basics B die set to create the frame

On the inside of the card I added the 2 brown cards from the frame then a smaller panel of white card

I then used 2 more stamps from the same set mentioned earlier and the inside

I also stamped the leaf onto the corner of the envelope

And this is the card from yesterday showing the leaf on the right-hand side

Until tomorrow....

6 CARDS IN 60 MINUTES

Good morning bloggers....

I'm behind in making cards using the freebie stamps or dies from certain craft magazines.  So today I set myself a task to make '6 Cards In 60 Minutes'.  Obviously spending more time on each card will produce a much better, detailed design, but I had fun in making the cards in the time set  and that's the main thing

The video is only 5 minutes plus long and that includes the blur at the end!.... it has been a week of mishaps with me and cards
