FESTIVE FRIDAY 10
Hello & Welcome....
to 'Festive Friday 10'
We have a 7" square white card base for today's card
and from one of the free paper pads in Making Cards & Papercraft Magazine I die cut the blue paper using the 'Holly Jolly Nesting Frame' by Yvonne Creations, applied spray adhesive to the back and adhered to the card base.
On a piece of white card I stamped the sentiment from John Next Door's 'Winter Trees Stamp Set' with a clear Versafine Ink Pad then sprinkled 'Blue Blast Regular Embossing Powder' by WOW over it and heat set it. Whilst the sentiment was still in the die I used a smoothie that had previously been inked with a blue ink and gently ran it around the inside of the die.
Once the card was removed from the die I gently curved it then adhered it to the centre of the card.
I added a strip of double sided adhesive to the bottom of the card and also added wet glue in several parts then sprinkled the 'snow' over both adhesives. By adding the wet glue you can create 'small snow drifts' for a more realistic affect.
I don't know why there is a blue haze showing on the card on this particular photograph!
The deer and the 25th Dec are pre-cut wooden shapes by docrafts, I added a little wet glue to the deer's antlers and dipped them in the snow and to the star I also added wet glue and covered it with the blue blast embossing powder but didn't heat set it.
The above topper is only 3.5cm square
INGREDIENTS:
Tomorrow, as usual, we have our 'give-away' card,
until then....

ReplyDeleteThis blue and white is beautiful! I collect Flo blue plates and it's one of my favorite combinations. Thank you for leading me to your blog, XOXO
ReplyDeleteAs can be proven from the other comments, everyone's tastes are different. I DO like the card but I am not a lover of "blue" on Christmas cards. For me, and I STRESS its personal, I would make this in red or even green. But, seeing your creations REALLY does inspire me to try your designs but with colours of my choice. I DO appreciate the inspiration though xxx
