Hello & Welcome....

I made this card for one of the ladies who comes to my classes and hasn't been at all well for a little while.  She also loves purple so I decided to make the card both 'purpleish' and a little bit 'funish' for her
  • I started with a 5"x7" white card base and added a smaller white panel that I embossed using an A6 Xcut embossing folder that doesn't appear to have a name on it!  But you can see the lovely frame it produces
  • I then die cut and embossed several elements from the 'Get Well' Die Cut Collection by Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions (CE)
  • The 'get well' and 'feel better soon' were each die cut 3 times in sherbet coloured foundation card by CE then glued together to give a raised sentiment
The plaster/band aid was die cut and embossed onto a pale peach coloured card, the thermometer onto silver mirri, and I added the red using a ProMarker Pen, and finally the pill bottle was die cut and embossed out of white card.  I used a brown ProMarker Pen to colour the bottle top and die cut the heart from the sherbet card.  To complete I added a personal message to the inside of the card

My YouTube Channel is now live, I have, as yet, to link it to this blog or vice versa, it's heading is

Poppyfield Card Crafts JF

and the 'smooshing' technique card I posted, possibly last week or so, is the one and only video there.  I do plan on making, at least, weekly video tutorials, so fingers crossed as this 'gal' is not technically minded, even though my career for the last 20 working years or so for the NHS involved using a computer daily lol.  I do seek advice from our 9 year old grandson who has it off to a 'T' and has his own YouTube Channel..... the joys of youth!

Until tomorrow when the post is shown at 10am with Saturday's card winner.....
