TUTORIAL TUESDAY - IRIDESCENT MICA PIGMENT POWDERS
Hello and thanks for stopping by....
The shimmer on the card is beautiful, but, unfortunately, difficult to capture on camera.
I used 'Frosted Lemon' and 'Marine Ultra' Pigment Powders
The image below does show the shimmer, the whole of the
card is like this
I embossed the large 'French Rose Background Stamp' onto white card stock, using a clear Versafine Ink Pad
The picture below is one of the other card makes and is the same procedure.
For this one I used 'Tropical Yellow' and 'Emerald Green'. Using the brush provided in the set I covered the stamped area with the pigment powders. I also applied a little heat once it was covered, then buffed the image with a piece of kitchen paper
I cut the image into 3 strips and backed them onto black card stock.
The two outer pieces were adhered to the card, I added mounting foam onto the centre strip and adhered this onto the card base.
I then stamped the sentiment with a Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad then covered it with a clear embossing powder, removed the excess and heat set it
I used the same procedure for the 2 centre cards but keeping to one colour only. The top card is actually a pale purple colour, whilst the bottom one is pink
All the cards shown are 5" x 7"
