Hello and thanks for stopping by....

The stamp is called Geneva and is by Creative Expressions.  I used an Adirondack Earthtones Ink Pad in 'Slate' to stamp the image, then coloured it using a selection of watercolour pencils by Derwent of Acco UK Ltd

I stamped the sentiment, by Creative Expressions, inside the oval shape, using a Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad then covered it with a clear embossing powder by WOW to give a raised and glossy finish

Once dry I used a corner punch by Claritystamp and slotted red card behind it.  This was then adhered to the white, 5"x 7" base card

To complete I inserted two scrolls, a verse and covered the flowers with Glossy Accents by Ranger as well as adding 'drops' inside the image

Gorgeous enamel affect using Glossy Accents

Hello and thanks for stopping by....
 A 28cm x 10cm 'Z' fold card and when folded measures 13.5cm x 10cm.... ideal for posting!

The base card is a gorgeous pearlised, deep blue colour (my stash).  I added smaller panels of white card then used a light blue card for the top panels

With the exception of the white baroque corners (my stash) and the hearts (my stash) all other stamps are by Clarity Stamps

I stamped the sentiment and corners with Adirondack Earthtones in Denim

I used the same ink pad for the sentiment on the right and a Woodware Corner Punch

The white embellishments were stamped with a Versafine Clear Ink Pad  then heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder

Until tomorrow....

Hello and thanks for stopping by....
The shimmer on  the card is beautiful, but, unfortunately, difficult to capture on camera.
I used 'Frosted Lemon' and 'Marine Ultra' Pigment Powders

The image below does show the shimmer, the whole of the
card is like this

I embossed the large 'French Rose Background Stamp' onto white card stock, using a clear Versafine Ink Pad
The picture below is one of the other card makes and is the same procedure.
For this one I used 'Tropical Yellow' and 'Emerald Green'.  Using the brush provided in the set I covered the stamped area with the pigment powders.  I also applied a little heat once it was covered, then buffed the image with a piece of kitchen paper
I cut the image into 3 strips and backed them onto black card stock.
The two outer pieces were adhered to the card, I added mounting foam onto the centre strip and adhered this onto the card base.
I then stamped the sentiment with a Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad then covered it with a clear embossing powder, removed the excess and heat set it

I used the same procedure for the 2 centre cards but keeping to one colour only.  The top card is actually a pale purple colour, whilst the bottom one is pink
All the cards shown are 5" x 7"

  • 5"x7" card ~ CraftUK
  • Black card ~ Creative Expressions (CE)
  • French Rose Background Stamp ~ Justrite CL-04355
  • Cosmic Shimmer Spray & Mica Pigment Set ~ CE
  • Sentiments ~ my stash
  • Versafine Clear Ink Pad ~ Tsukineko
  • Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad ~ Tsukineko
  • Clear Embossing Powdeer ~ WOW

Hello and thanks for stopping by....

For today's card I started with a piece of white card stock, approximately 7.5cm x 19cm and adhered my Clarity Flower Stencil over it

I coloured the leaves first with a smoothie (CE) that was already inked with a green distress ink pad (Ranger).  I then used one of the brown Spectrum Noir Primaries pencils (CC) to lightly colour the stems

Once I had coloured both the leaves and stems I added a fairly thick layer of  Dreamweaver Embossing Paste (Woodware) to the flowers then sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Mica Flakes (CE) in 'Luna Silver' over the paste, carefully removed the stencil and set the card to one side to dry

I used the sentiment and cluster of hearts from the stamp and die set (a gift from one of the card magazines) to stamp 'Get Well Soon' onto white vellum (Woodware) using a clear Versafine Ink Pad then embossed using Green Shimmer Embossing Powder by WOW

I added a black card panel onto a DL card and used pearlised green brads, (Hobbyhouse), to the centres of the flowers.  The sentiment was cut and wrapped around the card as shown below

Saturday's card winner, picked by Name Picker is....

Hello and thanks for stopping by....
I used 5 different shades of blue card to create this partial die cutting technique, starting with a pale blue through to a deeper blue

My white base card is a 12.5cm x 11cm , top folding.  I placed my first layer of card onto the the base card and marked where the sentiment die needed to be

I removed the die and cut each of the 5 cards in half

I then placed the die onto the card ensuring the bottom part of it was hanging over the card.  I then placed the second card under the top card, secured it in place with tape and die cut the image

Once die cut I removed the die and die cuts from the first layer leaving the second layer with an embossed image of the sentiment.  I then slotted the die into the embossed image and added the next colour card under the embossed one, die cut it and repeated the process until all 5 layers were die cut.

I did the same for the bottom half ensuring the top of the die was clear from the card stock

I then die cut the whole of the sentiment in each colour and glued each layer together

Both the top and bottom of the card were glued together, ensuring each layer was slightly overlapped to give a shadow affect of all the colours

I added fun foam to the back of both top and bottom layers, adhered the sentiment onto the card base then adhered both layered cards in place

I have seen this technique before and this is my 'take' on it

  • Card stock ~ mixture from PaperMill Direct, Creative Expressions and my stash
  • Just A Note Die ~ Creative Expressions
  • Fun foam ~ my stash
Until tomorrow....
