Hello, thank you for stopping by
For this DL card base I die cut the 'Elegant Lace Edger' die set four times in ivory cardstock, twice for the side panels and twice for the top and bottom.  These were then adhered onto black card and fussy cut

I then positioned the base card and stamp into my MISTI and stamped the sentiment with a Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad.  As this is a pigment ink, and stays wet longer, I sprinkled WOW clear embossing powder over the sentiment, removed the excess and heat set

Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Dries Clear Glue was applied to the backs of all the embellishments prior to adding them to the card front

I stamped a verse onto pale lemon paper and used a punch to create a pretty border down the sides.  I used the same ink pad but omitted the clear embossing powder for the verse

Leave me a comment on today's post if you would like to own this card, and, for the last time, you have until 9.30am Monday morning to comment
There's a LONG explanation at the bottom of this post as to why there is a change in the day

Hello, thank you for stopping by....

What a night/morning with this blog, I'm developing 'blog phobia'!!  Last night, when I logged on to my blog to post today's card the icons at the top of my page (new post etc) had vanished!  Sent numerous messages to the required forums for help/advice and I'm still waiting to hear from them, may be I'm blacklisted after losing my original blog ;) LOL

Anyway, I've kind of got in through the backdoor and may have to do this permanently but if I disappear again it could be because of this problem, or health reasons, or I've won the lottery and I'm on vacation.... I don't play the lottery!

I usually work a week in advance with my posts, it's only because of it being Christmas week that I've not done this, so enough of the blabbering on and here's today's card....

An 8" square 'dark roast coffee' base card with coordinating cardstock of peach and orange.... first time I've used this combination but, sometimes, you have to get out of your 'comfort zone'

I die cut the peach card, top and bottom

Omitting the cutting dies from the second set, I used two of the circular dies for the centre then matted the top panel onto orange card

I die cut the swirls from the same colour of the base card and added pale, peachy flowers

The sentiment was stamped using a brown ink pad

The card inside does look a lot deeper but I can assure you it is the same orange card I used for the card front

I used the same circular die but embossed it keeping all the fall out pieces in place by adding single sided tape to the back of it
The corner pieces are also from the same range of dies

Sorry about the shadow!

Hello, thank you for stopping by....

Going for a splash of colour with today's DL card!

I've used the balloon die set, included are 4 different style balloons, strings and a bow

I coloured white card stock with distress inks prior to die cutting the balloons.  Once the strings had been adhered to the back of the balloons and they were in place on the card I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in 'Morning Dew' to each one and when dry the bows were added

I used two Pixie Powder colours for the splashes of colour at the bottom of the card, the blue colour isn't as dark as it is showing on here, I also ran a Nuvo Glue Pen over the area and sprinkled 'glitter jewels' over the glued area

The sentiment was stamped, die cut, colour added to the edge and adhered to the card

The verse was stamped onto grey marl paper using one of the stamps from the 'Amazing Sentiments' collection, and stamped with 'shaded lilac' distress ink

I added the splash of pixie colour down one side of the envelope and stamped 'Birthday Mail' using StazOn Jet Black ink pad
A 4"x6" card with softer colour tones added at the bottom, pretty enough for a little girl, would you agree?

Hello, thank you for stopping by....

I'm making a conscious effort to use all my left-over card stock, new stamps, dies etc etc

This A5 pearlised card was in my 'white card scrap box' and had the second smaller panel, with the same card, already adhered to it

I used a StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad to stamp the images and sentiment and numerous Chameleon Pens to colour the flowers and bird

Once the inks on the flowers were dry I went over the petals with a clear  'Wink Of Stella'

At a later date I'm going to give these Chameleon pens another try,  because at the moment I'm not caring too much for them!

The colours, plus blending pen and 'Wink Of Stella' are shown below

The colours used, plus blending pen and 'Wink Of Stella'

  • white pearlised card stock ~ Crafter's Companion
  • Hummingbird Symphony Stamp Set ~ Papercraft Inspirations
  • Sentiment stamp ~ Die Cutting Essentials Issue 32
  • Chameleon Pens
  • StazOn Jet Black Ink
Until tomorrow....

Hello!!  Thank you for stopping by, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and you're continuing to enjoy the festivities

Today's card is a quick and easy make

It's a 7" square ivory base card with a smaller black panel then a smaller ivory top panel

I secured the stencil to the top panel and using a smoothie applied black soot distress ink over the design.  The stencil was then removed and I gave a very light spritz of hair spray over the distress ink to set it

I used 3 of the stamps from Concord & 9th for the sentiment and gave it a pop of colour using candied apple distress ink

Another card ideal for batch making, just switch the colour for the stencil and add a coordinating layer panel

There were only 3 comments on Saturday's post and I'm more than happy to send you all, Wendy L, auntie Millie and Littlelamb a card each, later in the week

Until tomorrow....

Merry Christmas Eve!...

Isn't this little guy gorgeous?  A friend wanted a card for their grandson's first Christmas, to keep in his 'memory box'.  There was a few things specified that she didn't want, such as it being not too blue etc etc, I asked if there was a photograph she liked of this cute baby, and, this is what I designed....

Hoping you have a good day today

Until tomorrow....

Good morning crafting friends I don't think you can go wrong with the odd butterfly or two on a card.  Although there are more than...
