Hello and welcome to my happy place....
One of my great-nephews celebrated his birthday a few days ago, he was 14, and this is the card I made for him
It can prove to be difficult to make 'male' cards but using this embossing folder and, should you not want to add extra colour, you could change out the circular 'Birthday Wishes' and add tags or something similar. I'm sure you'll have a suitable embossing folder in your stash
I embossed a panel of blue card and adhered it to a 5"x7" white card base
On another piece of white card I stamped the sentiment 'Birthday Wishes' then die cut it, and, keeping the card in the die, I inked it as shown, leaving a contrasting white border
I used my hole punch on the sentiment card and the blue panel and added a pale blue brad
I typed a personal message for inside the card and adhered the insert in place
I love this particular embossing folder and it looks great on its own but I wanted to add a pop of colour to a few of the circles and did so using my ProMarkers
I used a small circle punch and punched 4 circles in the same coloured card to what I coloured on the front panel. These were adhered to the bottom left of the card, overlapping the edge slightly, then cutting the overhang away
For the envelope I stamped 'Happy Mail' on the front and back then added drops of the 4 alcohol colours onto a blending tool and stamped both the front and back of the envelope in a 'confetti' design
