Hi, thanks for stopping by and welcome to my 'happy place'....
A bright and cheerful card for you today
On a piece of Yupo cardstock I applied one alcohol ink (raspberry) with a blending tool by dabbing it over the cardstock. I reinked the blending tool with a second colour (peri) and, again, dabbed all over the cardstock. A further application of alcohol blending solution was added to the blending tool and dabbed over the cardstock
The cardstock was then covered with vellum, this softens the background colour
A sentiment was stamped and heat embossed and a die was used to create a frame around it. The frame was die cut twice using white then black cardstock and overlapped slightly to give a shadow affect
Another die was used for the black vertical border
Using the same alcohol inks on another piece of vellum numerous die cuts were made for the flowers. I chose not to assemble the flowers showing the back of the vellum as I wanted a contrast with the background. The flowers were adhered together with a pearl brad
The smallest leaf die from the set was used for the leaves and I brushed the blending tool over the edge of each leaf.... I know think I should have coloured the whole of the leaf

ReplyDeleteA very dramatic card - love the way it looks, thank you June.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. Hav3 go5 some Yupo but haven’t used it yet. Must look for it and have a go. Thank you for sharing this. Have been playing with acetate and pigment inks today. Great fun and ended up with clean hands. Don’t know how I managed that.
