I love CAS cards and think today's offering may just fall into that category
I've used Papermill Direct's linen card a beautiful cardstock, and made a 5"x6" card base. On top of that there is a smaller panel of the same cardstock and this is how I made the card:
Mask, approximately, three quarters of the way down the panel as well as both sides
Using a Clarity stencil brush add some 'broken china Distress Oxide Ink' to it and gently brush it along the area you want to add some colour
Now add a little darker shade of blue, I've used 'faded jeans Distress Oxide Ink', again using light brush strokes. When you're happy with the amount of colour remove the tape and set to one side
Using the large alphabet dies by Sizzix (the make of dies you use is not compulsory, use whatever you have) die cut the 'J' and 'Y' 4 times each using the same cardstock and adhere each letter together
Using the middle size snowflake die by Spellbinders, die cut this 4 times using the same cardstock, glue them together then add a little liquid glue to the top snowflake (I used Tonic's Nuvo Glue Pen for the adhesive) and sprinkle 'Iced Snow Glitter Jewels by Creative Expressions over the snowflake
I used a piece of lightweight cardboard packaging, from a recent delivery, to add dimension to this panel. I cut a little smaller than the panel and adhered the card to it then onto the base card. You can't even tell what it is
To complete I made 3 small white pearls using Cosmic Shimmer Cosmic Pearl PVA by CE. These dry rock hard and have a lovely 'pearly appearance'
Just for a change this week I've a set of Christmas stamps by Katy Sue Designs, these are really excellent stamps and are also clear. There are 9 stamps in the set
Leave me a comment on today's post if you'd like your name added to the draw for this prize, you have until 6pm Saturday night to do so, the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog
