Apologies for not posting a card yesterday as I was having a real 'off' day
This stamp set was a gift from Making Cards Magazine, I think a couple of months ago. I've been meaning to finish several of the made cards and add a video, but as time is getting on I decided that I would show you two of the finished cards
This ivory base card is an 8" square and I added a smaller panel of red 'corrugated' card that I've had in my stash for ever and a day
The other papers are from the same issue in Making Cards and I added black panels to each paper
When I'd finished colouring the young ladies, using the Derwent Watercolour Pencils, shown below, I die cut the image and ran a black ProMarker pen around the edge
Handy tip: I save some of the lightweight cardboard packages I receive and these are ideal to use when you want to add dimension to your card makes, it also saves using your mounting foam, I also use a wet glue when using lightweight cardboard
I used the same size circle die (CE) as the one for the image and die cut a piece of cardboard, I also ran the black ProMarker around the edge of this too, added wet glue to it, adhered the topper onto it then adhered it to the card
The sentiment and 2 hearts are from the same stamp set, stamped onto ivory card then I used a circle punch to give me the shape on the left and fussy cut the flag on the right. Black ProMarker was again used along the edges, mounting foam on the back and adhered to the card
I stamped directly onto this 5" square card and used the same make of pencils for the colouring in
The sentiment and the other stamped images are from the same set
I used a Pilot Pure Liquid Ink Pen, in red, to add the squiggle border
Super card June, xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are lovely - especially like the simplicity of the second one. Hope today is a better one for you.
