Good morning bloggers....
As the title states it's a new challenge for 'Team B' at MAWTT. One of the new DTs, Debbie, who is hosting this challenge, has chosen the theme of 'wild animals', here is the link
if you would like to pay a visit and see the rest of the teams fabulous designs and, you're always welcome to join in the challenge
Elephants are my favourite animals and this is my contribution....
Who, I wonder has spotted any difference in the photos?
When you look at the first photo then the second a few birds are missing and here is why
On a post-it I used a large circle punch to give me a mask for the sun then placed it off centre on white cardstock
Using a peach ink by Hero Arts I began by adding lots of colour to the bottom half of the card, gradually fading the colour as I moved upwards on the card
The mask was then removed and two pieces of card were placed onto the inked card with only a very narrow piece of the card showing. I then used 'spiced marmalade' distress oxide ink, to give me a horizon affect, once this was removed the rest of the 'spiced marmalade' was gently added to the bottom half of the sun
With the exception of one set of birds I used stamps from a papercraft magazine to stamp the images
I added a mat of grey card then black card onto the white card base and finally the finished image
Just as I was about to photo said image I noticed I'd smudged black ink on the left hand-side of the card. I used a kraft knife and a mono eraser to remove the ink and was left with white card showing. To rectify this I added my own hand drawn birds in flight.... card saved!
INGREDIENTS:
- white, grey, black card ~ Poppyfield Card Crafts
- peach ink ~ Hero Arts
- distress oxide ink ~ Tim Holtz/Ranger
- papercraft magazine ~ Creative Stamping
- black and grey pens ~ Copic
Until tomorrow....
