The new challenge for Team B at MAWTT starts today and the host is the lovely Hazel. Hazel wants to see texture on your makes, the DTs have created fantastic designs and well worth a visit to see them, here is the link to the blog....
and my contribution is a faux leather note book - there will soon be a video showing you how I made this
It's a piece of kraft card, a little glycerine, !water, embossing folder, distress oxides, embellishments, Modge Podge, paper and fabric
The butterfly and pin came from 'our leader' of MAWTT, Wendy, who makes these pretty embellishments and they are available to purchase at a very reasonable cost. If you click on Wendy's name at MAWTT it will take you to her blog should you wish to see the embellishments in more details
The darker areas are more detailed because I gently rubbed 'vintage photo' over the whole area then 'spiced marmalade'
I applied one coat of Modge Podge to the outer cover giving it a shiny appearance
The cover is now very soft and actually looks like leather. The embellishments were adhered once I had added the fabric to the inside and the papers
Gorgeous red fabric covers the whole of the inside and the signatures (papers) were sewn into place
Until tomorrow....
