Good Sunday morning....
I think today's card is a good one for the males
My magazine was only delivered yesterday so I thought I would do a make using a few of the stamps. This time the stamps are by Sheena Douglass, so you know they are a good quality stamp to use
I used an ivory 7" card and for all the stamping and colouring I used Distress Oxides
I started by stamping the image onto white card (from my left over pieces) and fussy cut it to use as a mask. I then stamped the image onto the ivory card, covered it with the mask and used my ink dusters and distress inks to create the two tone background
I used fossilized amber and vintage photo to colour the bird and a Paper Mate pencil
Tonic's square die set was used to make a border. I made two die cuts and glued them together
I used the centres of the dies to adhere to the inside of the card
I stamped off the page with the tree and used the same 'happy birthday' sentiment, as on the card front, for the inside
I used a nearly dry flat brush to create a lighter background on the sentiment by very gently brushing over it as soon as I'd stamped it
To complete I stamped part of the tree set onto the envelope
I will be showing more cards made with these stamps as soon as possible

Hi June,
ReplyDeleteoh how fab I have won the stamps thank you so much.
I love your card and the very beautiful stamped design your inking looks so fantastic and the cream card sets it all off perfectly.
I too received my set of stamps yesterday and the magazine.
I am contemplating making a scene card for the Allsorts Challenge with them.
Today I used the leaves from last months ones for Darnell's Twofer challenge, but the mica background didn't phtograph well.
Thank you again for my stamps.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
A lovely card. Congratulations to Jenny L.
