I used teal card measuring 41/4" x 11" and scored this at 51/2" and 23/4"
Use a die shape of your choice. I think this set is by Spellbinders but I'm not 100% certain
Place the die on your card front and secure
Only place your cutting mat so that it will die cut half on the left side. I placed mine just below the centre points
You will now see your score line but, if you use a detailed embossing folder you then won't be able to see it
I used a Spellbinders EL-021 and embossed using the inside design
Hold your card at the spine then gently 'flip' the other end to enable the 'flap' to show on the inside
Like so
I used the next 2 smaller dies, from the same set, for the front panels and used white card and a kind of sage green paper
The stamp set is by Creative Expressions, 'Amazing Sentiments' and I used StazOn in Jet Black for the inking
Thank you June for a nice simple but effective card. Good for men too !!

ReplyDeleteLynH above, hit the nail on the head,"once mastered". Im having an extra thick moment and cant for the life of me suss HOW to place the die to make the cut thats needed. Im putting it down to having another fall yesterday and whilst i didnt bang my head WILL be using that as my excuse. - Back to the drawing board methinks.
ReplyDeleteOh, and i forgot to say i DO love this design and WILL work it out. I think even with a video i may have struggled - happy crafting xxx
