Good morning blog friends and visitors ....

A CAS card today and this particular one could also be suitable for a male

I started with a 6" square white card base and added a smaller panel of this gorgeous blue paper.  This was one of the sets in a previous Tonic Craft Kit

I used the same blue paper for the pop up gift box

I used the same size white card for making this card and added a smaller panel of black card.  Then using the gorgeous heart embossed paper from Tonic's latest craft kit (nos 15) I cut it for the top panel

The die set is by Spellbinders, and if anyone can tell me the name of it I'd be so grateful!  I didn't use the largest die in the set

The above dies are the ones used

and I used the largest heart die to die cut and emboss the heart

To make the pop up all you need to do is cut 2 strips of card, mine is two and a half inches long and about three quarters of an inch wide

Score both strips of card at half inch intervals and burnish the score lines

Fold them to give you a square and add adhesive to the one remaining square which will adhere onto the top fold piece of card

Repeat the same process for the second strip of card then adhere them to either side of the fold on the base card.  Also add adhesive to the inner side of one cube and press together so it will be securely adhered

NB  ensure you have your verse/sentiment in place and clear of the 'mechanism'

The shot above  is looking down onto the cubes
Score the heart (or whatever embellishment you choose to use, in the centre, add adhesive to both tops of the cubes then position the heart onto them so that the centre of it is on the middle of the cubes, as shown on the picture below

When you open the card the pop up piece will pop up/pop out!

Until tomorrow....
