Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'.....

                                                                    A 7" square card base

I applied tape around the outside of the card to create a narrow border

A small balloon stamp was used and third generation stamping for the multicoloured background

I then stamped the larger balloon and coloured it in using the same shades as the background.  It was fussy cut, and I put it through a crimping machine before adding double mounting foam put on the back then adhering it to the card base

I'm sure we all know this song that I typed, then decided to use the same colours, for the words,  as the balloons
Mounting foam was added to the ends of the sentiment and I 'curved' it prior to adhering to the card
Again, the same colours were used on the edge of the envelope
I stamped one balloon onto the corner of the inside of the card

Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'....

Two dies were used for today's card, the Holiday Botanical Strip and the Happy Christmas

The bottom strip is a gorgeous deep red, I went lighter for the next layer with a glittered red cardstock and lighter again with a lightly glittered red paper

I was in the middle of making a different design but didn't like how it was looking so I trimed the 3 strips off the original card, that's why you can see they're on a separate card

The sentiment was die cut 3 times using the red glittered card and glued together before adhering to the card base and to complete I added a few tiny red gems

A very red card indeed!

Another butterfly stamp is up for the taking, you have until 6pm Saturday to leave me a comment on today's card and the winner will be announced on Sunday's post

Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'....

The very pale pink glitter card is just so pretty, it is such a pity it doesn't show as well on the photos, especially for the bow!

I used 2 separate dies on the white, 5"x7" base card then adhered the pink glitter card behind it, on the inside

A corner punch was used on both the white and pink card

Both sizes of the filigree 3D bows were die cut, along with the tails.  A pink resin rose was glued to the centre of the bow as well as 3 small pearls adhered to the card base

A filigree punch was used on both side of the insert
I made the box and one tag out of pink card, another tag and the swirl was die cut using the pink glitter card and adhered them with a pale pink brad

This is an ideal way to hand deliver the card to someone but if you were posting it, obviously, the tags would not be suitable (I'd still leave the swirl on though :D )

  • white card ~ CraftUK
  • pink glitter card ~ Crafter's Companion
  • over the edge ornate border die ~ Tattered Lace (this was used on the side of the card)
  • larger die ~ not known!
  • filigree 3D bow set ~ Creative Expressions (CE)
  • pink resin flower ~ CE
  • sentiment and verse ~ CE
  • pearls ~ The Ducks Doodahs
  • pink brad ~ Hobby House
  • filigree punch ~ Martha Stewart

Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'....

This is an A5 white card base.  I used a border die for the side panels and carried on the pattern onto the card back, but only on one side

I used another part of the die set to die cut the centre image then adhered the pretty pink/peach paper underneath

2 of the circle dies, from two of the die sets, were used to create a narrow border, this was die cut 4 times, glued together then adhered onto the centre of the card

A selection of flowers, leaves and 3 pearl drops were glued into place

The filigree heart was die cut and  backed onto more white cardstock and the excess card was fussy cut away

A strand of silver 'chain' was secured behind the heart, foam pads added too and adhered to the heart to look as if the heart was hanging from the circle

Diamond Stickles were used on the flowers, inside the circle and on several places on the heart as well as the addition of  NuVo Crystal Drops, some of the die cut hearts were left 'bare'

NuVo Crystal Drops were added to the flowers and leaves

You can now see the filigree pattern on one side of the card and on another piece of white cardstock I die cut another design from the same collection, added the same paper as is on the front and stamped a verse

Hi and welcome to my 'happy place'....

Starting with a white base card 12.5cm x 18cm (5"x7")  cut a smaller panel in black card then a slightly smaller panel in yellow card

On the yellow panel stamp the two flower stamps from the 'Indigo Blu' stamp set and stamp around the panel with an onyx black ink pad then cover it with a clear embossing powder and heat set it.  (the sheen is not as promanent here as it is on the card itself)

Now adhere to the black card and place the strip of black card onto it with easy lift off tape

Cut a piece of yellow card, for the back of the waterfall, measuring 5cm x 20.5cm and score it at: 5cm, 7cm, 9cm and 10.8cm

Cut 4 pieces of  black card at 5cm each and 4 in white card at 4.5cm.  Stamp the flowers onto the white card using a Memento ink pad and glue them onto the 4 black card squares adding a strip of adhesive to the back of the cards at the top of each black panel

Starting at the bottom score line, adhere each square to each score line on the yellow strip of card

Slot the long piece of yellow card behind the strip of black card and when you're happy with the position punch a hole at each end as well as your background card and secure with brads

Now place a strip of adhesive onto the black strip and secure the bottom panel onto it

Punch a hole into the bottom of the exposed yellow card, cut a small piece of ribbon, fold it over and punch another hole in that at the top.  Add a brad through the ribbon and into the yellow card and secure it

When you gently pull the ribbon and exposed the strip of yellow card you can, if you wish, stamp a sentiment on it at the top

Create a border around the card using a Micron pen in black (optional)

The sentiment stamped at the top of the yellow strip of card

Stamp a verse and an image (optional) in the corner of the insert

Should you wish stamp the same image in the corner of the envelope as shown above

Hi, welcome to my 'happy place'....

A colourful 'guy' card make today

I started with an A5 white card base and cut a smaller panel of red card.  I scored several horizontal lines to the bottom right of the card

Then I added a piece of coordinating paper to the left side of the card and wrapped twine around it, securing at the back of the red panel.  I adhered this to the card base

I cut 3 images from a set of 'male' papers and layered them onto white cardstock, mounting foam was added to the back then adhered to the card

I used a circle punch for a white border for the smaller image

The sentiment was stamped with 'onyx black' and heat embossed

I embossed a vertical pattern down one side of the envelope and stamped my 'Happy Mail' onto it

I typed a verse and used a punch to edge the insert
