Hi and welcome, thank you for stopping by....

I added a smaller panel of black card to an 8" square, ivory card base

Then a very pretty paper (my stash) on top of the black panel

Black lace was then adhered to this and secured behind the black card prior to adhering to the card base

Another black, oblong panel was cut and more of the paper added to it

A Martha Stewart punch was used to create the border, on this panel, in black cardstock and 3 flat back pearls

The sentiment was stamped and embossed and a die cut added around the sentiment

I used a 'Wink Of Stella' around the rose and on the paper border,  the sparkle from this is gorgeous

Two panels, in black cardstock were cut for the inside of the card and corner scissors used (I've had these scissors for years and think they may be Fiskars)

I used more paper to add to the black card and the same scissors on all corners

A die was used for the black filigree panel and the verse stamped using a black ink pad

Now....  I can promise you that after today you won't see the cards, below, again LOL

We had Mark 1 showing the white shadow....  didn't like that at all

Mark 1

Mark 2
Mark 2 with the black shadow, really liked this one but not so keen on the centre black panels, then the other day I realised what I hadn't done....

Mark 3.... much, much better and should have been finished like this the first time, don't know where my head had been!

Success at last!

Hi and welcome, thank you for stopping by....

Thank you once again for your very kind comments this week, I think I'm back to 'normal'.... that's normal for me!

A shabby chic Christmas card this week

I started with an ivory DL card and adhered an off-white piece of lace (Wild Orchard Crafts)  down the left side

Another 3 decreasing panels of ivory card were cut and once the edges were distressed vintage photo distress ink, by Ranger, was applied to all the edges

The top panel was embossed using Creative Expressions e/f 'falling snow'

A small piece of the lace was adhered to the bottom half of the card as shown above

The smaller of the two Marianne die set (LR0270) was die cut 8 times on ivory card stock, then adhered together as two lots of four.  These were then adhered point to point prior to adding to the card

Jute Twine (Creative Expressions) was used for a messy bow and Foamarin in ivory for the 3 flowers

Two barley (I think!) pieces (Wild Orchard Crafts) were added and a sentiment was typed onto ivory paper, double sided adhesive added over it then die cut using one of the tag sets by Tonic

The larger of the 2 dies was placed in the centre of the page on the insert, die cut and distressed around the edges

I wrote the sentiment using a brown ink pen

Leave me a comment on this post if you'd like to win the Chloe stamp

You have until 6pm Saturday and the winner will be announced on Sunday's post

Until then....

Hi and welcome, thank you for stopping by....

Mark 2!  I think the card looks much better with the black shadow plus I made extra die cuts for dimension.  Each letter has 6 black die cuts then the top designer patterned paper.  Max celebrated his birthday yesterday and really liked this birthday card

original card with a white shadow.... I think the 3 white centres just didn't look right at all
I typed the sentiment then added several birthday stamps around the card using a variety of coloured ink pads

  • A4 Die Set ~ Xcut
  • designer paper ~ my stash
Until tomorrow....

Hello and welcome, thank you for stopping by....

Thank you so much for your very kind words this week ladies,I was very touched by them.

'Normal services' should be back tomorrow!  In the meantime I did attempt to do some finishing touches to two of this week's cards....

I mounted Friday's card onto red card and I think it looks much better like this.  I also added more glitter around the outside of both baubles

I made a 'new' soap powder box, typed the wording onto the blue card and die cut 8 pieces of card, glued them together to add to the card.  I then sprinkled white flower soft at the bottom of the box to give the impression of soap powder spillage

Friday's names were added to Random Name Picker and the winner of the two Chloe stamps is....
