Morning all....

I've seen a similar design of this card, by Sue Hughes, in one of the craft magazines and liked it so much I thought I'd make my version.  I had made a plain set of drawers, a long time ago, for a male card and had a tie, socks and a shirt sleeve hanging out of the drawers, but I think baby cards are so much prettier

It's such a pretty paper, from the 12"x12" Oh Baby Paper Pad and I adhered it to a 6" square card base.  Before I added the paper I used a large circle punch to make a semi-circle at the bottom of the 'drawers' and did the same with the paper

I cut 2 strips of the same size and a deeper one for the bottom drawer.  To outline the drawers I added a little light brown, with a ProMarker, around the edges.  Mounting foam was then added to the backs and adhered to the card

Flat back pearls were added for drawer handles and a cute sparkly teddy at the top of the drawers

The white die cuts come from the Shadow Box Set by Creative Expressions

Morning all....

This is a quick make and ideal for batch making, it does look much prettier in the flesh too!

I 'found' this card in my box of cards to finish.  I'd already embossed it and wish I'd photographed it before I coloured it in as it would make another ideal 'batch make'

So, this 5" square white card had been embossed, and I'd like to say the folder is/could be by Crafter's Companion.  I used a gold ink pen to colour the 'ribbon' then used a NUVO glue pen by Tonic to cover the bow prior to applying Glitter Jewels by Creative Expressions

I used the pointed end of a small smoothie (CE) to add colour to the bauble, using Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud in 'soft cerise' (CE)

The bauble was then covered in adhesive and more Glitter Jewels applied to it

I used a Paper Mate pencil to gently outline the bow and added a pearl heart to the centre

I heat embossed the sentiment with WOW 'gold satin pearl' embossing powder

If you have this embossing folder or something similar and there isn't a coordinating die you could emboss several, fussy cut them then apply a colour of your choice, this way you don't have to be so careful if you go over the edge.  Add foam pads to the back and you'll have a 3D design

Today's freebie stamp is a snowflake background

Leave me a comment on today's post if you'd like your name to be added to the draw and the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

Until tomorrow....

Hello crafters.... oops, I hadn't clicked on the publish button!!

We have lots of elements in today's make!

A 7" square white card base then a smaller panel of white card, and a smaller panel of lilac glitter card then the top panel of white card with corners all punched (Woodware punch)

Working on the top panel I used a mask and Lilac Blush Sparkle Texture Paste (Creative Expressions) on two sides of the card.  It blends in so well (too well on the photograph) with the glitter card!

I added a piece of cheesecloth (my stash) on the solid piece of white card then adhered the frame and slotted a tag, that had been stamped, into it.  Pearl hearts were added to the top and bottom of the tag

A selection of flowers were glued into place, then a butterfly and an decorative wooden heart

To complete, tiny pearls were dotted around the card

Until tomorrow....

Hi crafters....

Unfortunately I had to make one of these cards recently and whilst I always think it is such a sad card to make and send to someone we should possibly keep one or two in our card supplies which is why I'm offering this as this week's 'give-away'

It is a complete stamp by Woodware, and I've stamped it with an Archival Ink Pad in Coffee by Ranger

I used 3 shades of green ProMarkers to colour the leaves and filled a few of the tiny circles with green

The card base is 5"x7" and I adhered the top panel onto a slightly larger piece of black card

As usual, leave me a comment on today's blog if you'd like your name entered into the draw, the winner will be notified on Saturday's blog.  You have until 6pm Friday to comment

Until then....

Hi, welcome and thanks for stopping by....

The base is an ivory DL card with a smaller panel of black card then the pretty paper

I added black tulle lace to the centre, 3 peach roses and 2 pieces of barley all by Wild Orchard Crafts

The black twine was adhered under the flowers

I typed the sentiment onto an off-cut of the same ivory card, created flags at each end, added mounting foam and adhered to the card

The same ivory card was used for the inside (minus the off-cut for the sentiment), I used a pair of the fancy corner scissors on all 4 corners then went around the edges with a ProMarker in black ink

The verse is from the 'Amazing Sentiments' collection by Creative Expressions, stamped in black pigment ink and heat embossed with a clear WOW Embossing Powder

Until tomorrow....

Hi and welcome, thank you for stopping by....

Showing you the front, back and spine of a new album in the making

It measures 6.5" x 8.5"

The same paper is used on both the back and front of the album.  It's a beautiful, textured pale green paper

It is also the very same paper for the die cut in the centre, I don't have any idea why it shows a pale pink cast!

May be the album front will give you some ideas for a card make

I love the paper used on the spine (Hobbycraft!) - it's quite durable too

The back of the album showing gorgeous paper, I wish you could feel the texture of it

Wendy and Littlelamb commented on Friday's post and the Chloe stamp shown that day will be going to Wendy, as she was first to comment but I do have another similar stamp that will be winging its way to Littlelamb.... thank you ladies

Until tomorrow....
