Morning bloggers....

When I was sorting card stock I came across these pretty multicoloured papers.  I knew I had them just couldn't find them, no wonder when they're sandwiched between card

All I had to do was cut the paper to size, then pick 4 butterflies from my 'butterfly box', they are nearly all white as I can then colour them to suit the card I'm making

I used distress inks, the mini cube ones, and just gently ran the ink pad across each butterfly.  No pressure as I wanted a delicate look plus it also meant that not all the card was coloured and I also like that effect too

I stamped the sentiment with a Memento 'London Fog' ink pad, I wanted to keep the softer look and black would be too harsh for this card

For the centre I cut more of the pastel paper and stamped the mini butterflies and a sentiment still using the Memento ink pad

To complete the card I added flat back pearls along the spines of the butterflies

Good morning bloggers....

Week 20!  We're getting closer to the half way mark!

An 8" square card base with a smaller panel of red card, I rounded the top corners only on this piece and finally a smaller panel of white card, again with the only top corners rounded

This top panel was embossed and before it was adhered to the card I wrapped the red organza ribbon around it and the red card.  A bling heart as also used on the ribbon centre

A sentiment was stamped onto white card and adhered to more red card, I used scissors to cut the pointed ends

I ran a clear VersaMark pen along the white card then sprinkled a little glitter onto it, mounting foam onto the back then adhered to the card at a jaunty angle

I die cut several layers for the flower from white glitter card and ivory glitter card, shaped and glued the layers, added a small red gem to the centre then adhered to the card

A little glitter was also added to the centres of the larger snowflakes

I've only stamped the Christmas tree to the corner of the inside as I don't know yet who I will be sending the card too.  I stamped one side of the envelope with the small holly stamp and coloured the berries

This is the freebie stamp for this week

Leave me a comment to be entered into the draw, you have until 6pm Saturday and the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

Morning bloggers....

Today's card is suitable for both male and female

Fold and score in half a sheet of A4 card to give you an A5 top folding base card, I've used a light cream cardstock

Cut a smaller panel of black card and adhere to the card base

Choose a paper you would like to use, (mine is from years back on one of our Canadian trips) and cut it slightly smaller than the black card

Using the leaf swirls dies, die cut the design on your paper (this die set is on the reduced list on Tuesday post)

Add mounting foam to the back and adhered onto the black card

Using the 'Darla butterfly die', die cut 2 butterflies (this is also on the reduced list) then add colour around the edges.  I used a blending tool with 'black soot' already on it

To give your butterfly some shape, run a bone folder/pencil/paintbrush, under the wings

Adhere one butterfly onto the card then adhere the second butterfly but only add glue to the back part of the spine

Complete the front of your card with a sentiment and a few black flat gems to the butterfly's spine

Stamp a sentiment/verse in the centre of the inside of the card

I stamped the top left of the envelope front and the flap at the back of the envelope

Unboxing Crafter's Companion Monthly Card Kit & The Wednesday Weekly Card Give-Away

Morning bloggers....

Today's 'give-away' card is made using elements from the new monthly card kit by Crafter's Companion.  This was sent to me yesterday and, in my opinion, is well worth the £25 monthly fee

I'm showing 2 cards on the video and have used both of the dies included in the kit

Leave me a comment if you'd like your name to be entered into the drawer. The draw closes at 6pm Friday and the winner announced on Saturday's blog

Until tomorrow....

Hello bloggers....

There won't be a post tomorrow (Tuesday)  I'm so sorry to say, we are sorting craft room out in readiness for relocating back to the 'old' craft room!  I don't know when that will happen but today I can't turn around without bumping into something and my work table has vanished (see below)  but in the meantime....

I've had a few emails asking if I had any stock left from when we had the craft shop so we have photographed the dies and added a price list at the bottom.  I thought it only fair to my 'dedicated followers' :)  to let you see what's available too

I'll say the same as I did to the email enquiries that there isn't any pressure but there are some really good prices for the dies as shown below

The postage is also included in the price

I must get a better system than this ladies, the PC is old, I'm old and I don't think 'we' are compatible any longer!!

Until Wednesday....

Morning Bloggers....

It's our friend's birthday today, an avid fisherman, and this is the card that was made for him.  You may remember that last year we made a replica of a lifeboat he restored, The George Elmy, it was 2ft long

I started with an 8" ivory card base and added a smaller panel of black card

On another piece of ivory card I used 2 distress oxide inks, 'spiced marmalade' and 'vintage photo' to colour the top panel

I used the sentiment stamp, that comes with the image, and stamped it in black.  I also added 3 flat back gems, large, medium then small

I used the same procedure, colour wise, for the smaller panel, as above

The fisherman was stamped using a Versafine Ink Pad in onyx black, as all the inks were still wet on this top panel, I added WOW clear embossing powder to it and heat set it

The stamp set is by Woodware

Until tomorrow....

Morning bloggers....

Another  CAS card

The top panel was embossed and I made the flowers using purple cardstock and 2 dies

A stamped sentiment with colour around the edges and mounting foam added to the back

I added clear adhesive to the both flowers then sprinkled glitter over them

To complete the front I add 2 pearl stick pins

I think you can just catch a little of the purple coloured card on the above photo

Sorry about the blurred image!
This is stamped down one side of the envelope

Leonie and guess who

Sometimes it's good to put a face to the name behind the blog (and sometimes it isn't lol)

This was taken a couple of years ago at a retailers conference, Leonie was so nice

  • Bitty Blossoms Die Set ~ Spellbinders
