Good Saturday morning....

We have lots of sparkle for today's card

An 8" square, white card with a smaller panel of blue patterned paper added to it

On the top white panel numerous flowers were stamped and embossed then the panel was adhered to the base card

The sentiment was also stamped and embossed onto white card and 4 small pearls added to the corners.   The same sized pearls were also added to the centres of each flower and a pretty blue bow glued to the top left completed the card front

The same blue patterned paper was adhered to the card centre and a sentiment stamped and embossed onto white card was glued onto it

Another 8" scalloped card was opened flat and the centre die cut, leaving approximately 4" of card at either end that was adhered flat to the inside then the card was gently folded in place, the blue ribbon was glued between the two cards

Two smaller panels of the blue paper were cut and adhered to the card sides and more flowers were stamped and embossed onto 2 white pieces of card and glued into place

More small pearls were adhered to the corners of each panel

Good morning crafters....

Do you recycle your old Christmas cards?  I keep the very 'special' ones, and if there are some that really take my eye I'll keep those in a box whilst the others go to one of the supermarkets for recycling

So whilst I was on a frantic search for my crop-o-dile (I've had this for 20 years plus and don't think I've ever used it!  Shocking I know but I do need it now) I then looked in another of my many craft boxes and found....

the front part of a card that I'd kept for numerous years I'm sure

I did reduce the size, rounded the corners, made a card base then adhered it to that

I used the sentiment stamp by Katy Sue Designs and heat embossed it with WOW Metallic Silver, and did the same for the tree.  The stars, from the same set, were also heat embossed with WOW Silver Bells embossing powder

I'm sure this is the first time I've actually used a recycled card after all these years of keeping them,  so I'm going to shred the others I have and be done with them

I have this lovely embossing folder, by Crafter's Companion, as this week's freebie

Leave me a comment to be entered into the draw, you have until 6pm Saturday and the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

Until tomorrow....

PS  I'm still looking for the crop-o-dile!

Good Thursday morning....

We have flowers, butterfly, gems and a little glitter on today's card as well as a small rub-on

Using an 8" square ivory card base a smaller black panel was cut and two diagonal corners were rounded

On the smaller ivory top panel I stamped a border with black onyx ink then sprinkled a little glitter over the stamped area

Several layers of petals were inked and glittered the same way then fussy cut.  The same method was used for the half butterfly and the sentiment

A black panel with a smaller ivory panel were adhered to the inside of the card

I used some of the rub-ons from Crafter's Companion Kit Box, and applied this to black card for the sentiment

To complete the card front I adhered the two top panels at a 'jaunty angle', added the sentiment to a slightly larger black panel and glued it to the card, the butterfly had its wings 'fluffed' and adhered to the top left and finally I shaped the petals, adhered the layers prior to placing on the card

A flat back black gem was glued to the flower centres and another 3 to the top right of the card

Hello ladies, thank you so much for my birthday messages, they were so very appreciated

Today's card is a teal and cream offering and is an 8" square, with some embossing and die cutting you would need to either hand deliver this card or use a box for posting as the flowers do have some dimension, but I hope you like it

Until tomorrow....
