Good Saturday morning ladies....

Firstly I'd like to say "hello and welcome" to Darnell and Caz, thank you for hitting the 'follow button'

This is a 5"x7" white card base with a mat of 'roast coffee' card then the top white panel card

I embossed the white card then applied gilding wax in copper.  I wanted to add a dense colour on the roses then fade the colour on the remaining card

The small sentiment was stamped and I used a punch to cut it, then the same punch again to cut the 'roast coffee' card, as it was the same size I decided to only show it on one side of the sentiment as well as adding a foam pad on the back for dimension

Two more pieces of the roast  coffee card were cut for the inside of the card with smaller white panels

I used corner scissors on the white panels, embossed one, using the same embossing folder and stamped the other

I used the same stamp from the inside of the card to stamp the envelope as well as adding my usual 'Happy Mail' stamp

Good morning ladies....

I think, after this card,  I had better start to up my game with the Christmas cards now that we're half way into the year, we'll just have to see

This is a shaker card.  I used an oval die to die cut the aperture then added a few glittered snowflakes and one reindeer, I added a little glitter onto its antlers so it wouldn't feel left out ;) and finally 'snow' and a few micro beads.  If you add only a few micro beads to any shaker card it stops the other ingredients from sticking to the treat cup.  Also remember to run your anti-static pad/container around the treat cup too

Glitter was also added around the outside of the treat cup

The white poinsettias and star branches were die cut and I coloured the MDF date embellishment and once dry added glitter to that

  • oval die, snowflakes, micro beads, poinsettias & stars ~ Creative Expressions
  • snow ~ The Duck's Doodahs
  • MDF date & reindeer ~ The Range
So, onto the freebie, I'm hoping this week will be 3rd time lucky for someone because the last two winners never claimed their win, so we're back with the Crafter's Companion Christmas Scene Embossing Folder

Comment on today's post by 6pm Saturday and the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

Until tomorrow....

Good morning ladies....

Pearlised ivory and black card make today's, slightly smaller than an A5 card

I add the smaller black panel to the base card then cut a smaller panel of ivory card

I used a striplet to die cut on the left side and scored vertical lines as shown

The sentiment was heat embossed then I added some 'iced snow' on a panel of  double sided adhesive (sparkle is not showing on camera!) and adhered it behind the panel

A butterfly was die cut in the same ivory card, glued to the top right and 4 pearls adhered to the spine

  • striplet die and butterfly die ~ Creative Expressions
  • metallic bronze embossing powder ~ WOW

Morning Bloggers....

One from the past for this week's card give-away and, I think, also suitable for the opposite sex!

Both papers have a metallic look/feel about them and the flowers aren't too girly at all!

You have until 6pm Friday to leave a comment on this blog post, names will be entered into Random.Name Picker and the winner announced on Saturday's blog post

Until tomorrow....

Hello bloggers....

Yesterday 'Littlelamb' was asking if anyone knew why she wasn't getting my notifications until after midnight, if you have any suggestions please go to yesterday's post and leave Brenda aka Littlelamb a suggestion or two, thank you

I'm kind of putting on hold my 'Technical Tuesday' for a while, just until health matters, hopefully, settle a little more, there will still be the odd video but not necessarily on specific days

Today's card has a mix of several elements, distress oxide inks, smooshing, vellum, stamping, die cutting and a flower to name but a few!

This is a DL card with a smaller white top panel.  Actually, it's one of the card pages from the baby album that I decided not to use again as I'd already created a page with this die cut

I halved this particular card then I added the distress inks onto my glass mat, spritzed them with water and moved the card over the colours.  I did this several times, blotting each application as well as adding a little more colour where needed, until I was happy with the end result

Once completely dry I made splatters (love a bit of splattering) using a blue acrylic paint then diluted white Gesso

I already had the vellum die cut and as I didn't want to use all of it I partly adhered it to the panel and cut the excess away

The tag was already die cut so all I needed to do was stamp a sentiment on it.  I added a little mounting foam to both ends and adhered to the card

To complete the card front I added pearls and a small rose then drew a wonky border using a gold pen

I added a smaller white panel on the inside, with a sentiment stamped on one then die cut a Tonic die twice and adhered them into place

Morning Bloggers....

I've made this gift tag to add to a plain gift box

I gave the MDF heart one application of white Gesso then I applied 'sparkle texture paste' in Egyptian Blue over a stencil

Once completely dry I add white lace and a pale yellow and pink rose that I had made a little while back

I used white filler flowers,  two strands of pearls,  crystal strands, 3 butterflies and a two kittens charm

It also has satin ribbon, to be attached, in the event the recipient wants to hang it in her home

  • MDF heart ~ Creative Expressions
  • Sparkle Texture Paste ~ CE
  • all other embellishments ~ Poppyfield Card Crafts

Good morning ladies and oops, this is the second time I've scheduled the blog post a day a head, I'm pleased I checked this morning

This is the video that I did want to show yesterday.  Some of the pages may give you ideas should you try making albums, especially using the envelope technique

I hope you enjoy it
