Morning all....

Today's card is pink, very pink, nearly all pink lol!!  The reason for this is because I already had the embossed and coloured background on my work table and I had already added it to the slightly larger black panel.  I also had this one piece of pearlised pink card on the work table, and, rather than putting both items in my 'project folder' I decided to marry them together and see the finished result

As if there wasn't enough pink I added pink satin ribbon too, this was adhered at a jaunty angle then glued to the card base, again at a jaunty angle

I was sent this particular flower set and thought it ideal to break up the colours and I do like this 'muted' tone

The sentiment is from a set by Dovecrafts

I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto black card then die cut the card

Good morning all....

Crafter's Companion, Creative Expressions and Tonic are the embellishments for this week's card

This is a 7" square card base, top folding.  I embossed the holly frame onto pale blue card with a darker blue panel behind it for contrast

I fussy cut the centre of the frame away to show the embossed  panel and will use the 'cut away' on another card

The frame has mounting foam on the back and I also added glitter jewels to it in various places

The sentiment was die cut 5 times, glued together and glitter jewels added

I also added ice white circles around the border of the card

These papers are from the same paper pack and I will be adding a white die cut embellishment with a Christmas verse stamped on it

The freebie stamp set is by Katy Sue Designs and can be yours by leaving a comment on today's post

You have until 6pm Saturday to do so and the winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

We do ship internationally, at our expense

  • holly frame embossing folder - Crafter's Companion (CC)

  • glitter jewels - Creative Expressions (CE)
  • sentiment - CE

Good morning all....

The new challenge for Team B at MAWTT starts today and the host is the lovely Hazel.  Hazel wants to see texture on your makes, the DTs have created fantastic designs and well worth a visit to see them, here is the link to the blog....

and my contribution is a faux leather note book - there will soon be a video showing you how I made this

It's a piece of kraft card, a little glycerine, !water, embossing folder, distress oxides, embellishments, Modge Podge, paper and fabric

The butterfly and pin came from 'our leader' of MAWTT, Wendy, who makes these pretty embellishments and they are available to purchase at a very reasonable cost.  If you click on Wendy's name at MAWTT it will take you to her blog should you wish to see the embellishments in more details

The darker areas are more detailed because I gently rubbed 'vintage photo' over the whole area then 'spiced marmalade'

I applied one coat of Modge Podge to the outer cover giving it a shiny appearance

The cover is now very soft and actually looks like leather.  The embellishments were adhered once I had added the fabric to the inside and the papers

Gorgeous red fabric covers the whole of the inside and the signatures (papers) were sewn into place

Until tomorrow....

Morning all....

I stamped the flower onto pure white watercolour card, then stamped it again onto scrap card, fussy cut it to use as a mask

The mask was placed over the stamped flower and a second flower was stamped to the right .  As there is only one stem I drew a second one to look as if it was attached to the flower, then stamped leaves on both stems

I added some of  the 'picked raspberry' distress oxide to my glass mat and spritzed it with water.  Using a fine paintbrush I picked up the colour applying it to the bottom of both flowers and in the areas that wouldn't show any light, then diluting the colour further, coloured the rest of the petals

I used two greens for the leaves and a grey Copic pen for the stems

I stamped and embossed the sentiment and added a smaller panel of grey cardstock to the pink card base, then adhered the top panel onto it

The inside of the card has a grey then pink matt

Once this was completed I brushed GlazOn over the petals

If you would like your name to be entered into the draw please leave a comment on this blog post.  You have until 6pm Friday to do so and the winner will be announced on Saturday's blog

We ship internationally too at our expense

  • La Fleur Contemporary Flower Set - Sheena
  • pure white watercolour card - Ranger
  • picked raspberry, lucky clover & peeled paint distress oxides - Ranger
  • grey cardstock - Poppyfield Card Crafts
  • GlazOn - Tsukineko

Morning bloggers....

The die used for the card is adhered to another piece of off white card and then adhered to a larger panel of off white card that I had pierced a border using a pokey tool

The texture on the middle of the card is created by squeezing Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue onto card then sprinkling various Pixie Powders onto it, mixing/blending them together before heating it all.  The mixture will bubble up and some will go down slightly leaving a tactile texture

I applied the same colours of Pixie Powders onto white card, spritzed the card to activate the powders then dried the area with a heat tool

The flowers were die cut but the sentiment was adhered to the card first then the flowers adhered onto it and around it, finishing off with a centre pearl

More tomorrow....

Good morning ladies....

I made a 6" tent fold card base from vanilla cardstock and added a smaller panel of white card then a smaller panel of vanilla

On white cardstock I die cut the Ornamental Crest (outer die only) then cut it in half horizontally, so that it would fit onto the base card, and glued it into place

Using the pierced oval dies I die cut four frames and adhered three of them onto the centre of the card using mounting foam on each frame

The sentiment was stamped onto white card and the left side of it glued onto the third frame then the last oval frame was attached but I did lift the right side of the sentiment out over the top frame

I made a quadruple bow from a light gold ribbon and adhered it to the card then the card was completed by adding the peach roses

The inside of the card will be completed once I know who the recipient will be

  • vanilla card and pierced oval dies - Creative Expressions
  • ornamental crest die set - Spellbinders
  • light gold ribbon - Poppyfield Card Crafts
  • platinum machine - Spellbinders

Mini Envelope Tutorial For Corner Card Fold Away

Good Sunday morning everyone....

I've used the 'We R memory keepers envelope punch board' to make the cute envelopes for the corner card fold-away.  If you don't have one of these or any other tool to create an envelope you could try following my instructions by scoring the lines on your score board and where I've punched card out of each corner you could cut a 'v' shape with your scissors

I've never tried to do this myself so I don't have any idea if it will work but you could always go to YouTube as there may be plenty of videos showing how to make envelopes freehand

Let me know if you do please
