Morning blog friends....

Goodness hasn't the weather changed with vengeance?  At least it has in the North East, yesterday was so wet and windy!

I have had to photograph the card lying flat as the NUVO Crystal Drops were not dry nor was the Glossy Accents that I had applied on the sentiment

The pink paper does have sheen and glitter on it, you can see it better on the close up on the sentiment

I had previously die cut the paper  some time ago and left it because there wasn't enough room to make the 4th die cut.  The paper is so pretty in the flesh and I did want to use so I adhered it onto black card and fussy cut it

I glued it onto a 7" square ivory card, you may be seeing a pale blue on the two bottom photos but it is ivory and here's me thinking iPhone cameras were tip top!

I die cut the sentiment 3 times from black cardstock and the backing paper once.  The sentiment was glued and stacked together and the Glossy Accents applied to the lettering

The card needed something else so I used the fine tip of a black Copic pen and made dots around it

I then used more NUVO Crystal Drops, in 'Ebony Black' as shown

  • Die - Heartfelt Creations
  • NUVO Crystal Drops in Bubblegum Blush and Ebony Black - Tonic
  • Sentiment - Card Making Magic

Good Festive Friday crafters....

I think this card could be classed as a CAS card plus a little bit of 'faux paper piercing'

I started with an 8" square white card base and added a smaller panel of black card followed by a smaller panel of white card

Then on another piece of white card I die cut the border die, at an angle,  from the 'Greek Island Collection' by Sue Wilson for CE.  I also used this again to die cut black card

I then removed the excess white card and added a very thin strip of black card to the edge.  This was then adhered to the card

Adhesive was dotted onto the back of the ivy leaves then the die cut was slotted into the white card.  There isn't any raised area now with the die cut
I stamped and embossed  the sentiment, (Sheena Douglass) then used the tag die, from the same Greek Island Collection, and die cut it onto black card.  This fitted nicely around the 'Joy' sentiment

Black and white layers for the inside of the card and a Christmas tree was stamped onto one side, the opposite side had the 'Peace' die already layered onto black card and white card so I adhered that onto the card

This is also a Sue Wilson die

I used both tree stamps from Sheena's stamp set to stamp onto the corner of the envelope

I have these cute owl charms, by Hobby House, as this week's freebie so if you would like your name entered into the draw please leave me a comment on today's post

You have until 6pm Saturday to do so then the winner will be drawn and announced on Sunday's blog

Last week's stamp wasn't claimed so it will go into the pot for another week

Until tomorrow....

Good morning ladies....

Today is the new challenge at MAWTT for Team B, Beckie is our host and she is asking 'FOR A MAN'.... not literally of course!

You can see what the other DTs have made here Moving Along With The Times

I used the orange card from last month's Tonic Craft Kit, made it into a 6" square card then stamped and embossed the sentiment (Creative Expressions)

I die cut two frames, one in kraft card and the other in the antique copper card (CE) and adhered them to the card

With the remains of the copper card I die cut the 4 flourishes  and added a few matt NUVO drops

Until tomorrow....

Blush pink and black for this week's freebie.  Apart from the die cut (I have 'misplaced' the make) everything else is all by  Creative Expressions

The polished silk glitter is divine, so very smooth and I loved making the flowers with the blush pink felt

The sparkle from the glitter is gorgeous

Zig Zag Card - Part 1 & Part 2

Good morning crafters....

A sweet zig zag card today and another example of how to use your stash of papers to decorate said card

I make the videos in my old craft room (which is going to be my new craft room again, but I'm not holding my breath just yet LOL) and the odd time there will be one thing I forget to bring in with me.  This happened with today's video, consequently the video is in two parts, the latter a mere 1min 20 seconds if I remember correctly, so I apologise for that

I hope you enjoy it

Part 2 below

Until tomorrow....

Good morning crafters....

A very different one to show you today and not for everyone, but, oh so quick to make! LOL

I do love washi tape but I have a very limited supply, as the card proves, so if you have some in various widths that would make a huge difference to your card design

How easy to create too, different widths and lengths, cross-cross onto your card, add a sentiment, a frame too but not essential, and to top it all off splatters!

Altenew have a fabulous range of washi tape, it's really worth a look at their range and how their designers have used it in many different ways.  The only problem I have, unfortunately, is  with the shipping cost, far too expensive

I diluted a little black Gesso to make these splatters

The sentiment is by Heartfelt Creations and I stamped and embossed it then curved it with my bone folder and added glue to only the sides, this way if it has to be posted then, when the recipient takes it out of the envelope the curve will still be visible

Of course you could also used strips of patterned papers or card too

I added only two strips of washi tape to the envelope

Until tomorrow....

Good morning crafters....

I really enjoyed making today's card, possibly because of yesterday's 'twee' card LOL

The base is a white 7" card and the top panel is 6"square with a slightly larger panel of purple card

I used one of the smaller dies from Tonic's square die set to die cut the square and repeated this on the purple card

I used Memento/Tsukineko 'Sweet Plum' to stamp the sentiment, by Woodware then embossed the panel, using a folder bought at The Range, and when I'm there next will see if they have the name and make still available!

I stamped the lily onto Crafter's Companion's white watercoloured card using the hybrid ink cube by Tonic (in yesterday's Craft Kit 14) as well as using the watercoloured pencils from the same kit

The flower was then fussy cut and the petals tweeked then adhered to the card inside and the remainder of the sentiment was also stamped there too

I used the same embossing folder to embossed the flap of the envelope

Nearly forgot!...  I added 3 glitter drops in 'Holiday Cheer' by Tonic to the corner of the card

Now onto the stamp winner....
