Good morning everyone....

I hope you all had a good weekend?  As from today I can go out or have family/friends visit me!  I still won't be able to give my grandson a cuddle (I'm playing safe) but I'm sure he won't be bothered about that!

As I'm now four months behind in the 'big craft room sort' (I had planned to do a box per day once the new year came in, but we know that rapidly went out of the window) yesterday I forced myself to sort one box and came across this unfinished card

I started to make this back in the day when decoupage was very popular.  I'd already added the foam pads for the set of drawers, chair and waistcoat but they had been there for too many years that I could not remove the top non-stick from the pads!  To rectify this I applied adhesive on top of the pads then added the separate pieces

Sometimes the groom can be forgotten a little at his wedding and, as luck will have it, we're invited to a relation's wedding in May (all being well we hope to attend) so I'm thinking of sending this to the groom.  I will still make a wedding card for bride and groom

Until later....

June x

  1. Decoupage has moved on a long way these days - but I still love the old ones!! Think this is a beautiful card June - think the groom will be delighted to receive this!!

  2. Hi June this is a stunning card. I love that it is focused on the Groom they do often get over looked. I am pleased that you are making progress. Take care. Hugs Jackie

  3. Excellent card and so unusual, I'm sure any groom would really like this

  4. Lovely card June and I am sure the groom will love this. Glad you are making progress health wise. Take care.

  5. What a great idea, especially if you're close to the groom.
I do love a bit of decoupage but my hands are a tadd too shaky for it these days xxx
