WASHI TAPE & FRIDAY FREEBIE

Good morning everyone....

Nearly the weekend and I hope you are doing something nice.  Hubby and I prefer to be at home for the weekend and have family/friends visit us, that said we're not adverse to visiting a coffee shop or tea room for an hour or two

For today's card I used silver and gold washi tape, unfortunately they were all the same width and I cut some to make the finished result more interesting.  I used different widths of black card to weave over the washi tape and to finish the top of the washi I added a strip of black card and heat embossed Happy Birthday.  I used WOW Embossing Powder in Metallic Gold and the sentiment is by Heartfelt Creations

Today's freebie is a bottle of Pixie Powder in 'Scarlet Mist', this is a real pretty shade

Leave me a comment on this post by 6pm Saturday if you would like your name entered for the freebie.  The winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

Remember we ship internationally, at our own expense, and it doesn't matter how many times you may have won in the past as we use Random.Name Picker to choose the winner!

Until tomorrow....

  1. What a good idea June!! Sure I have got many reels of Washi tape that I could use like this! So effective & I guess not too difficult to do!! Different colours - different effects! Thanks for this inspiration!!

  2. I agree with LynH as I have a couple of reels of washi tape just dumped in a box which would be great for this. I do like this card and as Lyn says thanks for the inspection June

  6. What a striking design and very creative use of the metallic washi tape! Love the look of the weaving, and it was worth all the work! I am also a homebody, but then again, I hate to clean the house for visitors! That means I usually prefer to meet somewhere. Have a great weekend.

  7. Well now, I must be the only one who hasn't got any washi tape!!
Never envisaged a use for it so never ever bought any. Mind you I love this card, so effective June and who would have guessed, made from washi tape xxx
