Good morning blog friends....
A colourful shaker card today. I started by colouring a piece of white cardstock with two distress oxide inks. I then die cut the 'love' to cover both colours
I added acetate to the inside of the lettering, adhered it to the card as well as mounting foam to the edges. Lots of gold confetti, and a touch of blue confetti was added, the mounting foam removed and a piece of cardstock, that was from the A5 card I had coloured, was adhered to the back
I don't know why the 'LOVE' background looks blackish, other than my photography skills not being too good, as it's just a slightly lighter shade of the front of the card!
A black mat was added and the card was ready to adhere to the yellow base card
From my stash of die cut letters I coloured 'you' with abandoned coral DO and before adhering to the card I added a shadow in black, also coloured with a black pen
I added a few tiny black gems around the card
The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto white copy paper and a corner punch was used
INGREDIENTS:
- abandoned coral & fossilized amber distress oxide inks - Ranger
- LOVE die - Creative Expressions
- tiny black gems - CE
- acetate - Crafter's Companion
- sentiment/Spring Is In The Air - CC/NG-SPRIN-ST-SPR
- confetti - Tonic
- corner punch - X-cut

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card June. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty shaker card! I have to say that I've only tried making a shaker once and it was a disaster. I love your DO blended background and using a word die for the shaker part.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that is a beautiful card and I love the colors that you used. It looks like a sunset! Also like the clever design, where you use a die cut word as the shaker.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card June. Xxx
