Good morning bloggers....
I hope your weekend is going favourably. June 1st yesterday and I still had to have the heating on! Is it me or really the weather?
I have two CAS cards today, I know a few of you may struggle with this type of card but I really like making them. I have had the rose and tulip stamps for twenty years or more, each were on their own acrylic block so hubby removed them for me then I couldn't get them to stay in place on either of my stamping platforms until I remembered Umount and adhering them to it did the trick.... success!
I managed to cut off the corner when taking the photograph but was so tired I couldn't go back to the camera and retake it, so my apologies for that
DL base cards with smaller of panels of black, yellow, black then white cardstock
I used the same colour watercoloured pencils to colour both flowers and when dry I added a shimmer pen to both flower heads
I do think it makes a huge difference when you emboss the top panel, as on the right-hand side card. I also used a corner punch on this card too
INGREDIENTS:
- Umount - Creative Expressions
- flower stamps - unknown/my stash
- watercolour pencils - Derwent
- linen embossing folder - CE
- black gems - CE
- corner punch - Woodware/CE

Both cards are lovely June! Yellow is not in my 'comfort zone' - but I could be persuaded looking at these!
ReplyDeleteCAS cards really appeal to me - appropriate for so many occasions.
Thanks for sharing!!
I agree with you June - I love embossing on cards and these are both lovely but I prefer the embossed one.
ReplyDeleteYes, me too the embossed one stands out by far. However both ARE brilliant as CAS cards. Thank you June x
ReplyDeleteHi June these card are stunning I love them both. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi June,
ReplyDeletejust catching up on you older posts.
Thank you so much for my win you are such a very talented and generous lady.
I love your CAS cards and I am one of the ones that do struggle with making them but love and admire every one I see that is created.
What a super idea the embossed one is it looks so different and I would have never thought of that.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
