I don't think anyone will be expecting this type of card today but I really enjoyed making it!
I've used only one alcohol ink in 'sail boat blue' on the piece of YUPO paper. The different shades of blue are achieved by adding water or a little alcohol. When dry I drop a tiny amount of gold alcohol ink in several places
The sentiment and verse are from a stamp set by Altenew and I love each and everyone of them
I edged the tag with a black distress ink
The verse looks a little lost in the A5 card but it does make me smile
As always if you would like to give this card a new home please comment on this post by 6pm Friday. We use Random.Name Picker to choose a winner therefore it doesn't matter if you have won previously
- YUPO 5"x7" paper - Ranger
- sail boat blue and gold alcohol ink - Ranger
- black soot distress oxide ink - Ranger
When I saw this, I thought it was the 'shaving foam' technique - but this is less messy to do! Love the effect that has been achieved - did you drop directly onto the card or onto a messy mat first and then lay card onto the ink? Must have a go at this - love creating backgrounds - ready for use whenever!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better as the days pass.
Thank you Lyn
DeleteI dropped directly onto the YUPO paper and used a straw to blow in just a few places. I need to perfect using the gold though

Hi June,
ReplyDeleteI too thought that this was perhaps Pixie powders.
I don't have any alchol inks either but I love this wonderful card the super effect on the Yupo paper.
The sentiment and the verse are so lovely and such super stamps to own.
My friend Mary first told me about Yupo papers but I have yet to buy any.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Thank you Jenny
