Good morning friends....

Several weeks ago, Lyn, one of my blog followers, won the 'Freshwater Friends' die set, and very kindly die cut loads of the pieces for me.  So, again, thank you Lyn

I've used only a few of the die cuts on today's card.  The background is from the recent 'nail polish technique' and there is a video to show you how it was done.  Here's a link:

I adhered the background onto white card, to give some definition, as  I wanted a black base

Next was to choose the die cut pieces and glue them onto the card.  I added only a little glue to the bases of the pieces as I wanted the bulrushes and reeds to stand 'free'

I decided to add only one heron as it seemed very appropriate to go with the sentiment.  I love this sentiment!

This week's freebie is a gorgeous set of gorgeous frosted blue dazzlers and a stylus handle with two adapter tips

Leave me a comment if you would like your name added to the draw.  You have until 6pm Saturday to do this

We use Random.Name Picker to choose a winner, therefore, it doesn't matter if you have won previously

We ship at our own expense including internationally

Look who appeared when I was downloading the card and freebies pictures!

Max, tongue out to confirm he's concentrating on whatever it is on his mobile.  The empty glass mug is what he asks for when he comes to see us, a 'grandad special'.... hot chocolate

I hope you all have a good weekend

Until tomorrow....

June x

  7. I always love a nature-themed silhouette card and this one is so serene and beautiful. I love your background! And of course Max asks for a "granddad special" when he visits...what else are grandparents for?!

  8. Hi June,
what a very brilliant background and that technique looks so fab and just like a watery background too.
Love the fab die cuts to they finish it off perfectly.
What a handsome young man and they do like playing games on their phones.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
