Good morning crafters and blog friends....

I hope you all had a good weekend and the coming week is kind to you

The paper I've used on today's card has been in one of my stash boxes for sometime and I thought it was time to put it to good use, as opposed to coming across it once in a while, giving it a stroke and thinking I will use that soon!  I no longer remember from where it was bought or if it came as a freebie with one of the magazines

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine how much craft goodies I would gather over the years and that is why I never named dies etc etc as, foolishly, I always thought I would remember the names.  I am in the process of rectifying this, it should only take me 10 years ;)  I'm joking but I am sorting my goodies

So, enough of this chit chat and onto the card:

I used a white 5"x7" card base and added a smaller panel of black card

A smaller panel of the blue paper was then adhered to the card

I made two aster flowers from white card and deliberately left parts of the petals white for a more natural look.  The stamens were also left white

The sentiment was stamped then a piece of double sided adhesive sheet was placed over it then die cut.  Once die cut I removed the adhesive sheet and added glitter jewels over the whole area.  Mounting foam was added to the back then placed onto the card

To complete the front I added white pearls to two corners

I used a flower punch on the white insert then adhered it inside the card

A verse will be added at a later date

I've still a little of the blue paper left so I cut two pieces to fit on the bottom corners of the envelope

  • white and black cardstock - my stash
  • blue paper - unknown
  • aster die set - Elizabeth Craft Designs/1219
  • sentiment - Spring Is In The Air/Crafter's Companion/NG-SPRIN-ST-SPR
  • white pearls - Creative Expressions
  • glitter jewels - CE
  • double sided adhesive sheets - CE
  • die shape for the sentiment - ?Spellbinders
Until tomorrow....
