Good morning crafty friends

If you have an abundance of 6"x6" papers this technique is a quick and easy one to make and not just for Christmas!

(just noticed I'm missing one forward slash before the wwws!)

You need a 6"square piece of paper, scoring board, tape, 2" punch or die (quicker if you have the punch) and a few embellishments

I chose to punch a hole in the above and add ribbon although that's not really necessary

With a 2" circle punch, or die, cut away the paper in the centre

Score either side of the 'shoulders', there's isn't  an exact measurement but you can see how I scored mine

At the bottom of the paper score 1/2" then cut away to two end pieces  as above

Add tape to one side and the tab at the bottom
Adhere the sides then the bottom

There is quite a bit of room inside.  Ideal for little treats or candy canes which is what I'm going to fill mine with and when I buy one of those small white skeleton trees (I've seen them in Hobbycraft) I'll hang them on that in the hall

  1. What a good idea - I have plenty of odd 6 X 6 papers (& some 12 X 12's). Ideal for little pockets, and flat enough to pop inside a cad to send!
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Great idea to use up your stack of papers. Looks great.

  3. Super idea and so simple June. I have reims of the stuff so this is a great way to use it up. Chrisitne

  4. Hi June they are gorgeous and such a clever idea. I have loads of 6 x 6 papers. Thank you for the tip. Take care. Hugs Jackie

  5. We all seem to have lots of 6 x 6 papers in our craft collection !!! Great idea to use them up and I am hoping to make lots to sell at our chapel Christmas coffee morning so thank you June.

  6. These look good June. Think I will be making some at the weekend. Thank you.
