WASHI TAPE & FRIDAY FREEBIE

Good morning everyone....

Nearly the weekend and I hope you are doing something nice.  Hubby and I prefer to be at home for the weekend and have family/friends visit us, that said we're not adverse to visiting a coffee shop or tea room for an hour or two

For today's card I used silver and gold washi tape, unfortunately they were all the same width and I cut some to make the finished result more interesting.  I used different widths of black card to weave over the washi tape and to finish the top of the washi I added a strip of black card and heat embossed Happy Birthday.  I used WOW Embossing Powder in Metallic Gold and the sentiment is by Heartfelt Creations

Today's freebie is a bottle of Pixie Powder in 'Scarlet Mist', this is a real pretty shade

Leave me a comment on this post by 6pm Saturday if you would like your name entered for the freebie.  The winner will be announced on Sunday's blog

Remember we ship internationally, at our own expense, and it doesn't matter how many times you may have won in the past as we use Random.Name Picker to choose the winner!

Until tomorrow....

MAWTT - #95 THAT SPRING FEELING!

Good morning everyone....

A new challenge starts today for Team B at MAWTT and my first design for this year!  Judith is our host and she is wanting to see anything to do with spring

I love these Woodware bird stamps, I think they're so cute.  I had started to draw in grass at the bottom of the flowers but made a bit of a mess so I decided to add a little green glitter card on top.  The greens look so much better in the flesh than on the photo!

If you click on the link below you'll see what the rest of my team friends have designed

Until tomorrow....

WEDNESDAY WEEKLY CARD GIVE-AWAY ~~~ REMINISCE

Good morning each and everyone....

These weeks go far too fast, would you agree?  I hadn't realised it was now the Easter break for school children!  I was only saying to hubby this morning that each morning when I awake I really have to think what day it is!  Sometimes I have to give in and ask him haha.  I know that's not a good thing so I'm putting that down to shingles.... shingles could be blamed a lot for the next few weeks/months

So for this week's give-away I've used several different elements

I started with a 7" square white card base and added a smaller panel of burgundy card

From the Arianna Blooms 12"x12" Paper Pad by Heartfelt Creations, I cut the top panel and adhered it to the burgundy card

The 2 white die cuts in the centre is a die by Crafter's Companion (without a name), once die cut I sprayed adhesive over them then dipped both die cuts into NUVO Pure Sheen Glitter named 'Glitter Diamond'
I cut a slither of burgundy card from my left over piece and adhered it to the centre of the die cuts so that it looked as if it were one piece

I already had 3 white circles die cut so I adhered these together, sprayed the top one and sprinkled the 'glitter diamond' over it

Next step was to distress the edge a little, I've no idea what colour I used as I picked a blending tool that looked suitable but I've yet to label the details onto it

The 'Reminisce' die cut is from a Tonic Craft Kit, it had already been die cut so I added the same glitter onto it as well
Back to the burgundy card, I die cut the sentiment from this card twice and glued them together.  I then used this as a shadow for the glittered white card and adhered it over the circle

To complete I added a little gold shimmer to the petals of my burgundy flowers, added 3D glue to the undersides and placed them onto the card

The inside of the card is left blank for the new recipient to complete

As normal, if you would like to give this card a new home please leave me a comment on today's post

We ship internationally, at our own expense, nor does it matter if you have been a previous winner.  I use Random.Name Picker to choose the winner

You have until 6pm Friday to comment and the winner will be announced on Saturday's blog

Tomorrow's blog is scheduled for 9am to correspond with the new challenge at Moving Along With The Times (MAWTT) because of being so ill this is my first contribution this year as a DT member!

Looking forward to seeing you then....

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY - How To Use Your Scrap Cardstock & Pretty Papers

Good morning everyone....

I love this easy way to use your scrap cardstock and/or pretty papers!  I apologise for the angle of the video, I didn't do anything different to how I normally video but it has turned out side ways!  For the life of me I can't find, on YouTube, how to correct it, so I thought I'd best leave well alone

It's a longer video than normal so make yourself a cuppa!

Enjoy!

Until tomorrow....

ONE FOR THE GROOM!

Good morning everyone....

I hope you all had a good weekend?  As from today I can go out or have family/friends visit me!  I still won't be able to give my grandson a cuddle (I'm playing safe) but I'm sure he won't be bothered about that!

As I'm now four months behind in the 'big craft room sort' (I had planned to do a box per day once the new year came in, but we know that rapidly went out of the window) yesterday I forced myself to sort one box and came across this unfinished card

I started to make this back in the day when decoupage was very popular.  I'd already added the foam pads for the set of drawers, chair and waistcoat but they had been there for too many years that I could not remove the top non-stick from the pads!  To rectify this I applied adhesive on top of the pads then added the separate pieces

Sometimes the groom can be forgotten a little at his wedding and, as luck will have it, we're invited to a relation's wedding in May (all being well we hope to attend) so I'm thinking of sending this to the groom.  I will still make a wedding card for bride and groom

Until later....
