Good morning blog friends....

Today's card is a 6" square, well  we all know that the size is actually pertaining to the envelope and not the card which is always smaller

I used one of the gorgeous papers from the Rose Garden 6"x6" Paper Pad and reduced the size to 5.5" square

I distressed the edges using 'black soot' distress ink as opposed to adding a black panel, this also makes a less bulky card

This was then adhered to the base card
I used a die to cut and emboss the white card and stamped the sentiment using an Adirondack ink pad in 'raisin', it really blends with the paper

The flower is from a set I bought when in Crafter's Companion's Aycliffe store, I went in for pale pink card but a few extra goodies also went into my basket!

I used the raisin ink pad and a blending tool to add colour to the petal edges.  To complete the card front I added 3 tiny black gems

A Mini, Mini Album Using One Sheet Of 12"x12" Paper

Good morning bloggers....

Once again thank you for your very kind comments yesterday.  I need to take myself in hand as my health is getting a tad our of hand this year!

We have 'Tuesday Technique' today as I couldn't complete or post on Tuesday because of my damaged arm, shoulder and side (I don't do things by half)

This technique is the easiest I've made using one sheet of 12"x12" and can be decorated in so many different ways.  As it is small it's also ideal to pop in with a birthday card, or a card just to say "hello" etc

Until tomorrow....

Good morning bloggers....

Thank you for yesterday's kind comments, I'm battered and bruised and I've added a little picture of the damage to the bottom of this post, I'm not safe on two feet!

For today's card I used the largest size of die in the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A S5-131 set, and created a top folding base card

Using the same white cardstock I die cut and embossed the same size panel using Spellbinders A2 Swirl Background S5-366.  I added adhesive to the back of the panel then placed it into position on the base card

I made a small bow from ivory satin ribbon and added the ivory and pink flowers

I already had the sentiment stamped and sitting on my craft table so I added a piece of double sided adhesive sheet to it, removed the backing and sprinkled 'glitter jewels' by Creative Expressions, over it

Foam pads were added to the back and the sentiment was placed on the card

As always if you would like to give this card a new home please comment on this post by 6pm Friday.  We use Random.Name Picker to choose a winner therefore it doesn't matter if you have won previously

We also ship internationally at our own expense

My very sore and painful arm and side!

Until tomorrow....

Good morning bloggers and visitors....

I hope you are enjoying this extended weekend and the weather is kind to you

Tomorrow is my son's 41st birthday.  For forty years he has always had 'nice, loving' cards from me but this year I've changed it.  He loves a good joke and is quick witted so when I saw this sentiment on Pinterest I thought I would have to use it.... by the way, he is not what the acronym spells!  Nor does he visit my blog but does support me on my Poppyfield Card Crafts Facebook page

This is an A5 base card in navy with a smaller panel of white then, again, navy card

I typed the sentiment onto another piece of white card and die cut and embossed it

I stamped and heat embossed the 'happy birthday wishes' then coloured the wooden letters using ProMARKER pens.  The letters were then adhered to the tag

Both tags are secured with small brads and I used the same blue pen, as on the 'N', to edge both tags

To complete the card front I added various sizes of black gems

The verse was also found on Pinterest and I stamped the 'with love' on the opposite page

I'm going to make and add a small corner pocket, to the bottom left of the left page, so that I can add cash to it

I now have another card to make from my grandson to his dad as well as making my son's favourite dessert (he prefers this to a cake) this morning, which is a 10"  chocolate raspberry meringue

  • navy and white cardstock ~ my stash
  • sentiment and verse ~ Pinterest
  • sentiment stamp ~ Crafter's Companion
  • wooden letters ~ The Range
  • black gems ~ Creative Expressions
Until tomorrow....
