Good morning crafters
I hope you all have a good weekend. I did visit the Metro Centre yesterday, I was 'on a mission' to purchase a handbag I'd recently seen, in fact I bought two, different designs plus a purse. My current Radley purse is about 15 years old and was looking rather tired. I will pop that in the charity box as I'm sure someone will want to give it a new home
One of my closets friends will be celebrating a 'special' birthday tomorrow and this is the card I've made for her, you may notice that I've not added her age, just a 'cheeky' sentiment inside the card
On many occasions I have said that when you use a good, pretty paper you don't need to do, or add, much more and I haven't on this card
With this 8"square card I added a smaller white panel to the black base card, then trimmed a little of the paper to adhere to the white card
I also cut a thin strip of black card to lie diagonally, added gems and two peel-off strips
I also coloured the rose and leaves under the sentiment then added a little 'Wink Of Stella, on the rose bud and flower
For the inside of the card I used the same paper and adhered that to the white card then onto the black
I die cut the filigree piece then black card and finally white
I don't think the camera has picked up the 'Wink Of Stella' that I added to the 'o' in older then the 'ps' and the 'd', it shows lovely on the card and that is the main thing
I am pleased with the finished result
