FESTIVE FRIDAY & FRIDAY FREEBIE

Good morning friends and visitors

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS

I made a DL size card with red cardstock, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, die cut a chrysanthemum, instead of a poinsettia, in various sizes using gold mirri card, layered them together and fluffed some of the 'petals'

I made a band for around the centre of the card  and adhered the flower onto it

For the centre of the card I used white cardstock and cut 3 'Christmas boxes'.  The 'boxes' were covered with glitter card and had ribbons attached to each one

The two verses were stamped and heat embossed down each side of the white card

So, the question is.... do you prefer the flower with or without the black centre gem?  Did you notice before I asked you?

The card inside is easy to create and you can adjust the sizes to suit.  Here is my well used 'master' if you would like to try it

You only need to measure one side of the folded DL card and cut through both front and back

Decorate the 'boxes' before you do any decorating to the inside of the card.  I find this way the easiest but you may not

  8. First, many thanks for the beautiful stamp received safely. I love the size and fonts of the greetings.
I also love the elegant simplicity of todays card and agree that it is better with the gem. I'm looking forward to making the boxes with the help of your instructions. Again, many thanks June for everything.

  10. Thanks for the tutorial on making this impressive card fold June. I haven't tried anything like this but might give it a try sometime, because it's such a lovely result. I do prefer the flower with the gem in the middle as it sets off the gold really well! That's a darling stamp set as the freebie, so thanks for the chance to win.

  11. What a fun surprise when you open that card! It reminds me of pop up cards that I used to make in high school and I'm going to bookmark your measurements so I can try it later. I also like the gem in the middle of the flower, but then again I do love my gems.
