BIRTHDAY WISHES

Good morning crafty friends

I was nearly finished the card for today when I had another good look at it and decided I didn't like it at all, the background I'd made, with Pixie Powders, made the whole thing too busy.  So I fussy cut the flowers and made this

It's a 6"square card, the base card is actually blue!  It looks teal on here

If you watched my Stampin' Up haul on Tuesday's video you'll see the colour of both pieces of card.  I think the embossing folder is gorgeous, again from the haul

I stamped the image onto watercolour card, stamped it again 3 times on spare card to give me masks as I wanted to stamp the lilies together

I used 2 different stamps for the sentiment, both from the same stamp set

I heat embossed the lily onto the corner of the card inside  and on one corner of the envelope

ooh.... now you can tell the card is blue!

I wouldn't normally put these two colours of card together but I think they look ok, what do you think?

I am playing along to the following challenges:

INGREDIENTS:
  • cardstock, Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set, Old Olive/Pacific Point/Rococo Rose Ink Pads, Striped Scallops Embossing Folder - Stampin' Up
  • Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set - Woodware
  • Kefalonia Greek Island Collection Die Set - Creative Expressions
Thank you for popping by today
