UP-CYCLING & FRIDAY FREEBIE
Good morning crafty friends
Today's card, as the header states, is an up-cycled one
I have gone through a lot of my 'special' birthday cards (and hubby's too) and know that come the day he and I 'pop our cloggs' our sons will not be interested in the bundle of cards we've kept, so up-cycling it definitely is! That said I have certain ones put to one side to add to my mini albums, I've contradicted myself there but you will know what I mean for sure
The card below is the original one, never thought to measure it before I cut it, it was larger than an A5 card which is what today's card is
The cut parts were adhered to a black panel and I heat embossed the sentiment, punched two flowers, adhered those together and popped a pearl gem in the centre
The sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set

I have another stencil for today's give-away
Please leave a comment if you would like your name entered into the draw by 6pm Saturday
The winner will be announced on Sunday's blog
We also ship internationally at no cost to you
Thank you for visiting today, please stay safe

ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea and a great result
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your blog and getting a good laugh from your 'pop our cloggs' phrase! I have never heard that before, but I can certainly pick up the gist of it!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for your up-cycled card, and I love the pretty sentiment too!
Super card June, great upcycling. Certainly too beautiful a card not to use. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colouring and card
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea to cut the card front into panels and make a whole new, beautiful design. I also have a stash of cards that were sent to me over the years, and many are too pretty to toss. Upcycling is a great way to pass on the beauty, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAll for a bit of 'up cycling' - like you I have a little supply of cards that are too nice to throw away!! The colours in the card are just lovely!
ReplyDeleteButterflies make the perfect spring card and I love that you recycled this card. Although I keep the handmade cards that my mom made, and the cards that were sent to me when my babies were born, I have way too many to save. Recycling them into new cards makes great sense.
ReplyDeleteA lovely upcycled card - I love upcycling too. Thanks for the chance to win this lovely stencil.
